We flew from Biloxi, MS and rented a Winnebago camper van to explore this beautiful region. We visited a different campground each night. West River staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. This is a small, lovely, and quiet campground nestled in the woods. It is a short drive to the town of Alma for restaurants and shops.Cape Enrage is also a short distance away for a lovely view of the lighthouse and coastline. The only problem we encountered was the laundry washing machine was temporarily out of service to conserve water due to the drought. We had packed light due to flying and limited space in the van and were needing to wash our clothes every 3 days. I ended up washing a few items in the sink of the RV and was able to use their dryer to complete to get by until the next campground. I was able to get a couple photos of the aurora overhead during our stay which was awesome!

We have stayed here multiple times...From Glamping Cabin to Lower Dome to Raised Dome to our most recent just Tenting...Granddaughters idea...lol...Just as much fun as any other time! Our tent site was spacious and private! Bathrooms and showers are wonderful and clean, and so nice to be able to cook all our food on the fire, and having a woodfired hottub after swimming in the ocean in September doesn't hurt...Visit to Dennis Beach and Pointe Wolf...Epic camping trip, can't wait for our next visit!

This small private campground is close to the town of Alma, near Fundy Nat’l Park and not far from Hopewell Rocks. The sites vary in size but all have level concrete pads. Our RV site was a roomy one, not exactly private, 30 amp with 3 services, picnic table and fire ring. Unfortunately the laundry room was out of service due to a water supply problem. I was planning to do laundry, but I guess I will have to wait. The campground is well tended with flowers, yard art and the most creative dog poop bag dispensers I have ever seen! There were several glamping sleeping cabins and other interesting options for those without their own camping equipment. The campground is quiet except for some road noise.

We loved our experience at this campground. Our lot was nice, large and wooded. We enjoyed the amenities: park, laundry, showers and hot tub!! We loved that it is a small, family run campground. The facilities are clean and the grounds well maintained. It is close to Alma, Cape Enrage and Fundy Park. Definitely recommend!

From the moment I walked through the office door on the day of our arrival, I knew we found a gem! There’s not one thing about this camp ground that I didn’t enjoy. Our dome was spotless and every little detail was considered and unique. The campground itself was clean and very quiet with lots of thoughtful little flower / rock / statue gardens and both ladies that I had the pleasure of meeting inside of the office were welcome and friendly. I will absolutely be back and next time I’ll be booking that hot tub too! My only request is that the provided cuttlery be updated to include at least one sharp knife and a can opener :)

If complete relaxation, complete privacy, and complete escape from the world are your goals, West River Camping is definitely the place to go. My wife and I stayed two nights in early September in the raided dome, and left completely refreshed. You are greeted by a lovely host who will take you down to your private oasis and show you how to use everything. The private wood fired hot tub is another level of relaxing. It holds heat all-night once up to temperature, leading to wonderful early morning relaxation. Both morning we ate our breakfast as the hot tub got a little warmer, and then right in to soak away the real world. I could go on and on. The bed is comfortable, and there is camp stove/oven, BBQ, dishes, etc. Lots of hot water for showers. Paradise.

Awesome campground! We rented the RV and it was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were super friendly and always available to answer any questions we had about the area. We really liked the motion activated lights at night while walking to the washrooms! Very cool idea. We will definitely be back for sure!

Super friendly staff that goes the extra mile to make sure that you were comfortable and had a great time. Grounds were clean and clear. The decoration and decor were fun and cheerful. I highly recommend you make this your next destination stop. Lots to see and explore in a short distance around the park. You can tell this operator put a lot of thought and time into making this a great place to stay!

Stayed at West River twice this summer and enjoyed the stay so much I will definitely be going back! We arrived to very friendly staff Melissa and Scott where they opened their arms like we were family, they recommended great restaurant and different trails to try! The tent site was very level and great! Also stayed in a cabin for one night and it was very clean and comfy! Loved the little heater kept us warm when we were chilly and had lots of room beside the camp for a fire and picnic table! Definitely highly recommend this campground!

We stayed in the 27' trailer last weekend and really enjoyed the luxury camping experience. With a full 3-piece bath, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with an island, and plenty of room for two people, we were more than comfortable. Outside of the trailer was a very well thought out campground. We were surprised and impressed by the motion sensing lights that light the way around the main loop, and the public washroom facilities that consisted of four fully private 3 piece bathrooms. We've not found these features at any other campground before. And finally, the hospitality shown by the owners was heartwarming and familiar. We will absolutely be back!
