Westfield / Lake Erie KOA Journey
Sunsets are magical over Lake Erie, only 300 yards from the campground. Pizza, Buffalo Style Chicken Wings, Chicken Fingers, Fries, Lake Smelt and other deep fried favorites, all delivered right to your campsite.
Pull in and walk into the heart of grape country. Enjoy the pine- and oak-covered trails of Ottaway Park and the magical sunsets over Lake Erie, only 300 yards from the campground. Hike a shale-bottom creek that flows through KOA or hook bass and perch from the catch-and-release pond. Take an Erie charter or fish off the pier/boat launch, just a half mile from the campground. This KOA boasts two pools, a game room and an award-winning playground. Themed weekends include children's games/activities & crafts. You'll find incredible food at the on-site "It's All Good" food truck (try the pizza with a hand-pressed crust or real buffalo wings). Travel the area for spectacular views of Lake Erie and go sightseeing in Amish Country. Enjoy the vineyards, antique shops, wineries, water parks and restaurants. We had a great stay at Lake Erie KOA while traveling from NH to MI to trade-in our trailer for a new unit. It was a perfect stop both ways—clean, convenient, and relaxing. The staff was welcoming, and the location ideal. Thank you for the hospitality!

Park is clean and right across the street from the lake. You can walk over and see the sunset. It has lots of trees. We're in a 41 ft class a with a toad and didn't have to unhook. The one and only thing we didn't like about it is, it was very dusty. Whatever is on the road blows white dust all over everything when someone is driving through.

This was our first time at at KOA. We called last minute for a one night stay. The lady I spoke to was very helpful finding us a pull through spot big enough so we did not have to unhook. We were leaving early to continue our travels home.

We absolutely loved this campground! We stayed here for one night on our way out west and then made it a point to stay for a night again on our way back home. It is only a couple of minutes off of route 90 so there is a little bit of highway noise. However, it’s faint and does not at all detract from the beauty of this park. There is a vineyard next door and we were able to smell the grapes which was wonderful! A short walk directly across the street there is a park right on Lake Erie and it’s gorgeous! A lovely place to take a walk. The staff was also very helpful and accommodating.

I love this place and this visit was another wonderful time spent on the road. I saved up all of my "down" days on this trip so I could spend them at this location. The campground is meticulously kept, has clean bathrooms, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the location is great - just across from a park overlooking the Lake Erie sunset every evening, and surrounded by the Lake Erie wine country. It was a bit humid and rainy this time but usually the weather is cool and fresh in the summer. The swimming pools are clean and the guests are well-behaved and respectful of each other. There's a bit of road noise but the convenience of this location off the various main highways is worth it. It's also a great jumping off point to drive the coast of Lake Erie and see the charming little towns on the lake shore. Highly recommended.
