Apparently this giant campground doesn't have a small patch of grass to pitch a tent, on a Monday night, or maybe they are just not motorcycle friendly. Not returning calls and being rudely turned away just before dark, after a 10 hour ride, was unexpected.

Really love this campground! Many of the lots look like they haven't been used in years or some lot owners only come out once or twice a year. Would be nice if they could remove those owners to make room for more families who would use these year round.

We have spent some time here over the years and have had an amazing experience. We have been approved to park our trailer on the family plot in which we did on Tuesday. Extremely welcoming staff, amazing people all around and a refreshing start to our new adventure. Thank you Westward Ho!!

Great place to camp. Washrooms with flush toilet and showers. Beach and float down the river.

Not sure what to write here. My parents have paid for a site for 25+ years. This is all my experience in those years. I give it 4 stars because my experiences have been mostly good! It has its ups and downs. The current managers are good peoples, very friendly, willing to help when needed. It's a great weekend away, Great for ball tournaments. River to play in. Horse shoe pits. Well maintened bathrooms. All the amenities. Cheaper then most campsites. At the same time. We have writing off 2 trailers and a Full sized van due to floods.(damn River). Twice we had our batteries and propane tanks stolen off the trailer. The second time, everything was securely locked and chained. Very deflating when you come out to enjoy a weekend and can't due to not having the needs to run the trailer. I have to admit that if we spent more time out there, maybe it wouldn't have happened? Unfortunately & sad my father passed away last year and my Mom won't use the trailer. The rules say your family can't take over the site unless they're on the list. I can understand they are wanting someone to actually use the site so I can't argue that. Just sad that we have to give up the site. As we grow older we tend to deviate from the things we once enjoyed. I hope the next Family enjoys the site as much as we did over the many years! Cheers!

Love this place. This is our 2nd year and living it. The staff are amazing. We are on a waiting list for a permanent spot. Can't wait for that. You have to try this place .

Been camping here for 25 years and has always been a great time. Many renovations have recently been done to their facilities. Fantastic place.

Always a good experience, I have been going there for the last 4 years! Good for big groups, very accommodation even though they seem to have a lot of baseball tournament groups, so its hard to book a good weekend. Place is always very clean, bathrooms are cleaned several times a day, have never seen them dirty. However the water in the showers is EXTREMELY HOT, there should definitely be a cold option to regulate the temperature or for those that want a cold shower. The group sites could use more trees, the river is not my favourite since it can be fast and murky after it rains therefore not suitable for little kids, and there are no lakes nearby, but that’s not westward’s fault. Over all I would recommend this for big groups who are looking for a big group site, clean campground and don’t need all amenities, there is no electricity or water on the group sites but you can hook up a generator to the cooking shelter for light and electricity to charge cellphones and there are water spigots close by, fire wood is also fairly priced and there is a convenience store across the road.
