The close vicinity to I20 is both good & bad, which is the only reason why this is a 4-star rating and not 5-star. Super convenient to be right off the interstate, but susceptible to a little road noise, which is only an issue if you're in a tent. The property is quite well-kept and I can't say enough good things about the very friendly & helpful host, Richard. The prices are great & I will definitely stay again if ever in the area!

Richard was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed one night after leaving DFW on our way to AZ. The nightly fee was very very affordable. The pull through spot had a pebble pad and was more than enough for our truck and 28’ travel trailer. They even had a fenced in dog park. I wish I had taken more photos to show how clean the park was. The only thing to be aware of is those stickers that get in your dog’s paw. They wasn’t in the dog park but they were outside our rv.

Overnight site for us, price was very reasonable, did not unhook camper, level pull through. Richard (owner) was very friendly and helpful. There was some road noise and train tracks, A/C drowned that out. The water did not taste good even after filtering, but we made do. Would stop here again.

This is DEFINITELY the park you want to stay at when in the area. I checked out two others locally that had great reviews. One was basically a parking lot and the other was unkempt and filled with “full-timers”. “Whip In” was nicely set up and had lots of grass and trees and a very welcoming entrance. It was after hours, so I called the number on the door and Richard met me within a few minutes to get me all settled in. The dog area was really the nicest I’ve ever seen at an RV park. Grassy, shady, and lots of places to sit. There was even a hose and bowls for water, and a row of tennis balls to borrow to give pups a chance to stretch their legs after a long day of driving. Yes, it’s near the highway, but with my a/c on low I couldn’t hear a thing anyway. 100% recommend!

We stopped in here one night with our four dogs. Pull through space #19 is right next to the dog park. These were the two things most important to us for a one-night stay. BUT, we will likely stay here again in the future. The owner (Richard) greeted us with a little packet with all the information we needed for our stay and was very friendly and helpful. The facilities are not new, but they are clean and well-kept. In the ladies' bathroom, there are little Essentials in case you forgot them, such as a bar of soap, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. The decor is welcoming. At night, the dog park has low-wattage lighting all around the fence, so it's easy to see what your dogs are doing. The things you need to pick up after them are provided! The only downside was proximity to the interstate but it didn't bother us. At less than $40, it's a good value. Would recommend.
