On our way home from a girls trip weekend of group of all woman and they were amazing!!! Called to check in with us when we ran late getting in to make sure they would be there to assist us and explained everything and took us in. Delivered us firewood while we sat up camp. Most importantly let me share with you all, these are CLEAN and CARED FOR BATHROOMS!!!!! the up keep is great they clean it regularly. As all girls we were all commenting that it was the NICEST and CLEANEST camp bathroom we’d ever been in. They were friendly and respectful. We will be back for another girls trip thank you for having us 🫶🏻👌🏻

Incredibly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating management team! Had to cancel and reschedule our family trip there due to unfortunate car trouble, Lisa and Terry were so helpful and understanding. Campground impeccable, quiet and peaceful. Such an awesome location! Enjoy the peace and relaxation of the campground itself, and lots of great places to visit locally. Personally would highly recommend Mead Beach at sunset. It's a must-see! So happy with our stay there for our family of 4 and 2 medium-sized dogs at for a very reasonable rate. Definitely plan on returning and will recommend visiting Whispering Surf to friends and family, or anyone looking for a cozy, comfy place in nature to get some R&R. Much thanks! -The Trinkaus Family

Very nice campground. The staff is great, bathrooms are very clean. The wood is a great deal and they deliver right to your site, it burns good. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Overall clean & quiet, but we came w/ grandchildren and only one other family w/ children. Mostly seniors who watch you but not very friendly. Can’t bring in firewood or collect it around campsite, told we could only buy from there store . Campsite was not level & when it rained (9hrs) big problem with pooling water , didn’t drain well

Ruth and Terry were the BEST campground hosts ever. Very nice sweet couple. Very friendly and helpful. Whispering Surf is a very clean peaceful place. Lisa was very helpful when my husband had an emergency. Thank you all, Diane & Rich Boyles

Our family has had this campground on our list for a couple years. We finally decided to go for the holiday weekend and we loved it!! Staff was literally waiting for us when we got there like we were VIPs, we got wood delivered quickly, rented kayaks for a great price, and we chatted with office staff like we were old friends. The campground is small, friendly, and relaxing! The location is perfect! We will be back, even our kids said we needed to make this place a yearly visit!! Thank you for the memories!

We booked a tent site after seeing how great the sites looked online! They seemed spacious and tucked away in the woods, exactly what we were hoping for. Upon arrival, the staff was extremely kind and drove us to our spot. Unfortunately, the map was exaggerated and our spot we thought would be spacious and private, was roughly 5ft from the road and very small. The tent lots felt misplaced and unintentional. The woods are a private property so we had no access to that and that property boundary is right up to the site. Our view was of the other guests enjoying the campsite in their RVs. I will say, the atmosphere was very family friendly and welcoming. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the property. We did feel misled by the map in terms of what to expect for our spot. I would not recommend tent camping with this campground. However, the RV spots seemed fine. We decided not to stay due to the lack of privacy at our site.

I can't thank the owners and staff enough for first accommodating our change in camp sites (helping us move) and secondly, for coming to our rescue ,fixing our canopy supports. Owner Jeff took the time out of his busy day to fix and repair our AS canopy. He made it look easy, but we know it wasn't an easy fix and if it wasn't for his generosity knowledge, strength and hard work we would have had travel back home with the canopy not securely set. The staff and owners are warm and welcoming and made our stay memorable. We will be back and highly recommend Wispering Surf campground.

Lovely family campground. There are family summer activities on Saturdays at the Lodge, walking distance to Lake Bass, and a short bike ride/walk to Lake Michigan beach. Dog park area. Beautiful trees surround the campground. The owners Lisa and Jeff as well as the camp hosts Lisa and Jeff are wonderful hosts.

I loved this campground! Stayed here for 7 days and loved every minute of it. Yes it is "tight" in some spaces but their service and the friendliness of other campers made up for it. Our specific site was not as tight as others so I can't really comment too much on it but it is what it is. Bass lake beach was nice, a short drive or less than a mile walk to the public beach on lake Michigan was well worth it. Bathrooms were clean. Nice playground for the kids and tons of shady tree cover. It's a nice quiet and peaceful campground, we felt very safe here and would recommend it to anyone considering. We will definitely try and return next time we're up that way.

Some of the most friendly staff you'll ever meet. Great place to camp with Bass lake in throwing distance and Lake Michigan just a 10 min. walk away. Thanks for making us feel very comfortable during our stay!

This place is AWESOME! A case study in exceeding customer expectations. The staff here is very helpful and very nice. The location is perfect with a beach on Bass Lake and only a short walk to Lake Michigan. The service is on point. I was amazed that they guide you to your campsite and assist you backing in. (Wow!). They will deliver firewood and ice to your campsite and pick up bagged trash that is left during specific times of the day(Double WOW!). Cable TV worked great. You can rent kayaks and canoes. I was most impressed by the staff. Very friendly and helpful. We are already planning our next trip here. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

We have camped with Whispering Surf several times and we are ALWAYS pleased while visiting! So clean. Quite a charming feeling! All the amenities are top notch and well kept. This place is perfect for couples, singles and families! Highly recommend! A perfect campground! We love it!
