The good: clean restrooms and showers. Across from the lake. The bad: very small sites on top of one another. The UT sites are up a very steep incline. My site, UT5, was sloped with tree roots and rocks all over. No level spot for a tent. Very very close to the road, so noisy. I go camping for peace and quiet. Got the worst 3 nights sleep of my life and left, 2 days early. No peace nor quiet was to be found here.

Rented a cabin here last week . The hosts were very accommodating and helpful locating e-bike trails for us. The store had everything you could possibly need and home cooked food was delicious ! Cabin was clean and even though next to bathrooms and porta potties there was no unpleasant smells!! Found the bathrooms to be clean . There is a Water station for washing dishes . Sights are very small and close together and tent sights are up a very steep hill but our cabin rental was a perfect place to rest your head . The lake across the street had the most amazing views. We kayaked and swam and the water was so clear . You could walk quite aways on a nice sandy bottom . We drove to Newport to e-bike and trail was pretty flat and easy with pretty views and a stop beside lake to take a dip . Wasn’t comfortable trying to ride on busy road by campground. No place to ride in campground but there were a few kids with regular bikes . Other than the sights being very close together I would still return for another visit !! Can’t say enough about our hosts … they were great ! Also took a day trip to Canada because we were so close ! Bring a passport !!! Final note … you can also set up tents on a few spots across from cabins . Also used for campers .

The only convincing feature of this campsite is its magnificent location between the mountains and the beautiful lake. However, it can only be reached from the campground via the busy road 5! The site is terrible. You pay 2$ for a 5 minute shower. There are only 3 toilets/showers for everyone!!! Plus 2 porta-potties. Everything is unkempt, full of weeds, getting on in years. Rotten wood already at the entrance, risk of injury everywhere due to broken boards etc. The pitches are unpleasantly cramped, they planned for masses, the operators are cashing in on the beautiful location, if they had 5 pitches less everyone would have a minimum of space. No cell phone reception and the wifi is only sometimes available and only directly at the entrance. Never again!!!!

This place is amazing! We stayed in a cabin which was very clean and comfortable! The bathrooms were also clean and regularly maintained. It looks like they may have done some renovations recently. Also, the country store has some very tasty food and good drink selections! The view is absolutely fabulous! We were about a 1 or 2 minute walk from the lake itself, which has several established swimming sections. We had our own paddleboards but noticed they have a great collection of paddleboards and kayaks to rent. They also have e-bike rentals! Unfortunately we weren't able to take advantage of them, but plan to next time we come! The grounds are located right next to some primo hiking trails. The owners/management are as nice as can be. I had some reservation issues (my own fault) and they were extremely accommodating. We definitely plan on coming back!

This campground has so much to offer! Jaw-dropping views, a variety of site types, very friendly owners, and a wonderful store with anything you may need as well as kayak and paddle board rentals. I rented a kayak which one of the owners conveniently hauled to and from the beach for me. The campground is situated directly across the (not too busy) street from the beach which has almost white sand, crystal clear water, and hiking trails. It is also only a 2-minute drive away from the Mount Pisgah Trailhead, making for many accessible summer activities right in the immediate area. The restrooms are centrally located and very private thanks to the individually separated rooms and key system. One downside I noticed is that the upper tent sites are small and very gravelly which can make it difficult to get stakes into the ground. Some of them are also on a steep hill which may not be accessible for big vehicles, however there is an extra parking lot available further down as needed. This didn't affect my stay personally, as I was at site UT1 which is near the bottom and could easily fit the sedan that I brought.

One of the best campgrounds in New England for a reason. Amazing location, a real hidden gem. If you visit, make sure you visit the beach on the North end of the lake.

Location, location, location. Directly across the street from Willoughby lake! You can borrow canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards for a day at the lake. Or just enjoy the sandy beach.

Nice views. Campground owners super nice and friendly. Sites are close. Wifi non existent. A lot of dogs off leash and kids walking through site. Camp store was reasonable and well stocked.

The new owners Eric and Michelle are outstanding and very accommodating. They were very attentive to my family and I, everything was very clean. The bathrooms were new and extremely clean there was about six or seven separate bathrooms. I will definitely visit again this summer.
