I camped and hiked here, and saw lots of others fishing. Great camping sites, many with a lake view! Spots to pitch a hammock lakeside. Trails were nice and soft with all the sand and pine needles on the ground. Bathrooms/showers were clean, too. I'd definitely recommend!

I like the weekend trip to this state park. The state park is really mainly for fishing and there are few trails to explore. Since it was the weekend a lot of campers were there. Not the state park’s fault but it was kind of loud in our area. Overall we had fun and it was relaxing.

Great place for a quiet weekend. Fishing is probably the biggest draw - while we didn't fish, we did enjoy a hike and views.

I had reserved ahead of time online so, no issues whatsoever. I arrived late, around 6:00 p.m. on a Thursday night and a friendly note on the door told me which campsite to go to. It is beautiful, forested, and if you choose your site through the photos on the website, you can get a lakefront view. Absolutely gorgeous. The biggest negative to my tent camping experience was an RV family a few campsites away that didn't understand the meaning of "quiet time after 10:00 p.m." I wish that tent sites were not on top of gravel but c'est la vie. That's just the way so many campgrounds these days do it. The bathhouse and showers were spotless, power hookup easy inconvenient, water source right next to the site. If I'm ever passing through that way again, I'll definitely consider another camping experience at White Oak Lake, but I'll remember my earplugs next time.

Has both walking and biking trails - nice width and clean, bathroom facilities, water sports, camping, and more. I had a vert nice time walking my dog on the trails and having a picnic afterward. I stopped by while traveling to stretch my legs and picnic. I would recommend this park.

We spent Thanksgiving week there. It was awesome. The lake was drained down for maintenance but still a nice place to relax. Lots of gunfire at the nearby shooting range, so beware of that in case your dogs are sensitive to that. Awesome trails and picnic areas.

Peaceful and quiet. There are 4 trails worth walking. One is 1/3 mile, one is a little over a mile, one is 3 miles, and the other is 10 miles. Easy trails. Beautiful scenery. No antenna channels. Verizon and ATT work well. Not much to do, as nearest town is 17 miles away. Come prepared to enjoy the solitude, kayak rentals, bike rentals, firewood, ice, and a camp store.
