Minus the issues with day use..... don't change policy mid-week without warming, then be awful about the confusion.... its spectacular

Beautiful campground. The spots were spaced out so it didn't feel like many other people were there. Can't beat the views.

We really enjoyed Chapman. We stayed in Loop F, site 50 which has a ton of sun. There are lots of sites to choose from and most are pretty spread out. Shaded and not. Many of the sites border the stream. The Chapman reservoir, in the campground, is great for paddle boarding. Lots of hiking nearby. Saw a few marmot, a bear, and lots of deer.

Lovely campground. Had a family reunion there and we all enjoyed it. If you want to be in the woods and right up against the river, this is the place. Lots of fish in the lake. Just be warned: there is NO SIGNAL within an hour of the campground.

People aren't joking when they say these are the cleanest vault toilets they've ever seen. Most sites are shaded and there are a ton of sites that are within easy walking distance of the river or Chapman Lake. Sites are pretty far apart and offer good privacy as well bear lockets in each site. Water spigots have strong pressure and produce clean and cold water. There's about an hour and a half each early evening where the mosquitoes are rampant and the rest of the time they are barely noticed. Quiet and the hosts are friendly and helpful. There are hummingbirds!
