What a hidden gem kn the Indiana State Park system! The bathhouses were some of the best that I have seen. The camp store is well stocked and has almost everything you coukd possibly need. The location is fantastic and it is close to Brookville Lake and Mounds SRA. The campsites are a little close together. We are tent campers, so we tend to camp at non-electric or primitive sites. Some of the non- electric sites (our camp site) are right across the street from some of the electric sites, which means that you as a tent camper end up right across from a row of RVs. The trails are great and range from easy to rugged. The beach looks like it would be fantastic in the summer. I don't swim in lakes, but this beach looked inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised with this state park and we look forward to coming here again.

Ok place for hiking. But probably only worth going if you have a boat or are fishing

My husband and I went to Whitewater Memorial State Park cause we wanted to try there cabins. We stayed in cabin 5. It was nice place. I knew that we needed to bring sheets towels and washing towels. But once we got inside there's no dishes glasses forks spoons or cooking utensils. So we had to go to the store to get some stuff we needed. After all that. We decided to cook out some food and couldn't do that cause the raccoons were everywhere. We scared them off and they would come back.. The cabins are a nice place, but im not sure if I want to come back. They need to pressure washer the outside of the cabins cause too many spiders and cobwebs. If you stay here i hope your stay is nicer and raccoons stay away..

Its a nice place for the most part! If you are going to use the cabins, there is no wifi or phone reception and you will definitely want to bring your own air mattress because the beds are wrapped in an uncomfortable sticky plastic. The fishing was very meh as the bluegill population is insanely high. None of the bigger fish are hungry because they just eat the bluegill all day. The whole place is beautiful and there is nature everywhere! The beach was nice, but the sand isn't really fine enough to really feel like a beach. It was a nice little vacation and we will definitely be back!

Park is amazing. Word of advice. Don't camp in the loop 200. Spaniards took over the loop and it was very scary. We left a day early because of the sheer amount of them.

We've been going to Spooktacular for a few years now. We look forward to it every year! The weather was fantastic. The trees were peak for the season. Fun was had by Our entire ensemble of 16. Great family fun.

Camp here every year, cabins and tents. This past week we did the cabins and they never disappoint. My family love this park with the exception of the grumpy older woman working the general store. She didn't greet us when we all went inside and only spoke twice when to yell at my son for bouncing a ball and them snapped at my daughter for asking how much something was. My 10 year old daughter said wow what's wrong with her? I said she must be mad because she's stuck inside working on the beautiful day. Regardless we will still be frequent visitors.

Great campground nice friendly family atmosphere. Clean and well kept. Separate shower houses that lock which i prefer, hot water low pressure but hot. We took a guided nature hike looking for mushrooms that was exceptionally good. Great guide we literally found hundreds of mushrooms and fungus of various species that adults and teens enjoyed.

Overall, I feel like the park is decent at a wide range of activities, but spectacular at none. Multiple hiking trails were all overgrown and didn't provide many unique views or lookouts. I think my favorite might have been the Red Springs loop, which offered something more unique, was slightly less overgrown, and a shorter hike. I then spent some time paddling around the lake in my kayak. It's not a big lake and you can easily explore the whole lake in around an hour. One unexpected and pleasant surprise that was really neat was the sunflower fields, which were nearing full bloom. The entrance of the park is also nicely landscaped with sunflowers.
