I grew up coming to this campground every summer and now visit with my family. I have experienced many different owners here over the past 20 years and I can say with absolute certainty it is the best it has ever been! The bathrooms are clean, the fishing pond is full, and the swimming pond is the only one I will swim in out of the many other campgrounds that I've visited because of how sandy and clean it is. No muck or rocks and fun to play in the sand for the littles. The owners are friendly and the store is stocked with all the essentials. The owners put together so many activities my kids particularly liked the foam party they did this summer and the Halloween weekend. The dog park is nice and conveniently placed. I had my wedding here a couple years ago and the pavilion and the island in the fishing pond were beautiful and easily held all of our guests. The campground is also just a short drive away from downtown dundee. There is no better place to camp in the midwest than Wilderness campground.

This place is awesome, perfect for families. I have been coming here for over 20 years and the new owners are by far the best. There are all kinds of special activities nearlu every week. Swimming lake and fishing lake are separate. Awesome people in the convenience store. The owners are always right there, super friendly and more than accommodating. The prices are right. Book early as it can get busy. Matt and Amy do a fantastic job keeping this place top notch.

Another amazing camping season in the books!! Wilderness campground is by far the best around! Lots of activities for kids(and adults), clean bathhouses, a beautiful swim lake and fishing lake! Not only is the campground beautiful but the owners are amazing! They made us feel like one big family which we appreciate so much. One of my favorite memories from this camping season is the seasonal potluck, seeing everyone come together to celebrate another great year warmed my heart. We are sad camping season is over but can’t wait for next year!!

Came to Wilderness Campground expecting a peaceful retreat. What I got was a full-blown survival reality show I never signed up for. First, the mosquitoes treated me like an all-you-can-eat buffet. Then a raccoon decided my granola bar was now his, and honestly, he looked more committed to it than I was. The hiking trails? Let’s just say I’ve discovered muscles I didn’t know existed and bruises I won’t forget. I may have accidentally invented a new extreme sport: falling over roots while screaming at birds. Bathrooms are a suggestion, not a guarantee. I spent more time playing ‘dodge the mystery puddle’ than actually using them. Wi-Fi is a myth told by campers to trick newcomers. The wildlife here clearly runs the campground they’re territorial, loud, and absolutely zero respect for personal space. I woke up at 3 a.m. to some unidentifiable groaning noise that may have been a coyote or a very angry tree. Food storage is a gamble; apparently squirrels have PhDs in stealth theft. The view? If you enjoy endless trees, mud, and the occasional lost tent, you’re in paradise. Otherwise, this place is like nature’s way of saying, ‘Hope you like chaos and regret!’ Would not recommend unless you want a weekend you’ll tell your grandkids about… in horror stories.

Went out the weekend of Father’s Day to visit my brother in law, had a blast so we decided to give it a go for a 4 day weekend and loved it, in fact we booked another 4 day weekend over the 4th of July. They have service help on site to help w the silly things we all deal w when owning an RV. They also do a great job of having family activities during the day and evening fun as well. We will be back maybe as full timers there. Thank you guys keep rocking.
