Stayed here in my tent in September. Sheltered lake made for a nice paddleboard, and washrooms were super clean and up to date. I stayed in site 22, which is large enough for a small camper, but also had a tent pad. Unfortunately if I had stayed in one of the designated tent sites, I may have had a lower review. Many of the tent sites were small, cramped and sloped, awkward variation to arrive to, paying $35 a night. Bathroom lights were also bright all night, not great for tent sleepers. I was happy in shoulder season to drive around and be able to pick a spot that worked best for me.

Pleasantly surprised by this city owned campground. FHU sites that are clean with privacy walls, picnic tables, and firepits. Nice setting on a lake with grassy area, playground, picnic area and miniature golf. Close to town. Laundry and VERY clean bathrooms and showers. The outside sites are not very deep therefore if you have a trailer or motorhome greater than approximately 20 feet you may not be able to fit in some of them...our trailer is 22 feet and we had to unhitch so we did not stick out too far. However, the pull thru middle sites are long and could probably accommodate big rigs/trailers. We would definitely stay here again.

Such a disappointment. While the new showers and bathrooms are lovely, the sites are not well defined and that makes it challenging to park RVs and trucks without getting into the way of a neighbor. There are sites occupied by people living in their vans, tents or cab over campers full-time at the campground. The laundry room has just two washers and dryers, constantly in use (I had to drive wet sheets into the local laundromat to dry). I would not return.

Good amenities, great location by the lake and nothing really not to like. The only downside was the lack of WiFi signal at the far end of the site but that's not a deal breaker for a one night stay.

Just got home from a week and this place was the best option to call home away from home and explore the area. You could spend all day right there. Clean washrooms and showers, dishwashing sinks, no dangerous wildlife nearby to tent and feel safe, and with the beach and mini golf plenty to do. Even a laundry after all the humid days to refresh clothes. 1 star missing for me because I needed to get ice in town on hot days and my middle beachside site had no shade at all or privacy as they are parking lot close. (I chose that for the bear safety anyways) But had a great time and friendly staff. Want to come back for sure. Albertan single mom and her preteens had a blast for summer vacation. Thanks!

Nice and small camping with a river and a mini putt. Only the showers could benefit from more equipment and storage.

Great swimming hole in the summer. Twisted berry frozen yogurt truck is amazing to complement the cool off. Can be very busy on weekends.

Beautiful surroundings and clean waters (I've been told it is fed from townwater). The beach wasn't overcrowded and only little garbage left by visitors. Ice cream stand was closed that day 😩 (good luck for the budget😉).

Nice location with quick access to the lake. But disappointed our pull through site had no electricity even though the spots on either side did( but only 10 amp). Friend’s sites had electricity but no water/sewer. Not what we expected! Coin laundry was ok but dryer didn’t fully dry items after more than 1 hour and full cycle. Don’t think we’ll camp there again.

Amazing little hidden gem. We camped right by the lake. Clear, beautiful water good for swimming, dock, fishing, bathrooms, showers, playground. We could only stay one night as they were booked up, and we were just planning on passing through on our way west, but we definitely want to go back and stay longer. I don't think there could be a more beautiful camping spot with nice water for swimming. Definitely my favorite campground by far.
