Willow Lake RV & Camping Park

RV Park

Overview

Overview

Willow Lake RV & Camping Park offers a grounded, nature-focused retreat situated in the high desert landscape of Prescott, Arizona. This park provides a quiet environment for those looking to disconnect while maintaining access to essential services. With its scenic backdrop of granite boulders and mature trees, the setting offers a distinct sense of place that celebrates the unique geography of Northern Arizona. It serves as a peaceful home base for travelers seeking an authentic outdoor experience away from the noise of typical highway-side campgrounds.

Location & Surroundings

Positioned just north of downtown Prescott, the park is nestled in an area known for its striking rock formations and proximity to high-altitude lakes. The surrounding environment is characterized by stunning natural beauty, where the iconic Granite Dells provide a dramatic landscape for photographers and outdoor enthusiasts. Because of its elevation, the park enjoys mild summer temperatures, making it a comfortable destination during the warmer months when lower-elevation deserts become difficult to navigate for many travelers.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed to facilitate a straightforward camping experience, prioritizing utility and accessibility for diverse RV types. Visitors will find full hookup sites that support convenience during longer stays. While the facility maintains a rustic charm, it includes clean, functional common areas designed to serve the needs of transient and seasonal travelers. The grounds are kept in a way that respects the natural topography, ensuring that the serene atmosphere remains a primary focus for all guests visiting the property.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Adventure is never far from the park gates. Guests are within minutes of the Willow Lake trail system, which offers miles of hiking and mountain biking paths winding through unique rock formations. For those interested in local culture, historic downtown Prescott features a famous town square, locally owned shops, and diverse dining options. Furthermore, the accessible boating and fishing opportunities on the adjacent lake make this an ideal spot for those who enjoy spending their days on the water or exploring local shorelines.

Who This Park Is Best For

Willow Lake RV & Camping Park is best suited for nature lovers, hikers, and active retirees who value a tranquil, scenic environment over high-density resort amenities. It is a top choice for travelers who prioritize a central location near outdoor recreation while still wanting a quiet place to retreat after a day of exploring. If you enjoy a modest, community-oriented atmosphere and proximity to Arizona's natural landmarks, this park will likely align with your travel style.

We have a campervan and we had a tent site, with the granite dells right outside our window. They were very accommodating of our needs, nice clean restrooms and showers, dump station, water fill and the hiking trails right from the park were amazing. Only thing to know is laundry is closed for repair.

The shower is awesome. The remodel they did really helped lift this place. Very quiet at night. Cheap rates. Can’t live in Prescott cheaper than if it’s in your car or camping.

The place is nice cool people besides barb the manger is awful!! She's is fake and will tell you one thing, and do another. Unfortunately its not a good place to be, if you have emotional support animals. Kevin and the rest of the crew are amazing on the other hand. They do have skunks running around. Which is probably everywhere 🤔 😕 😅
