The website boasts free WiFi as there is NO CELLULAR SERVICE (with AT&T) at the campground. HOWEVER, the WiFi is nonexistent unless you are right at the Host site. We were in site #29 and no WiFi at all. Restrooms were clean and campground itself was nice with lots of nearby attractions. Just wish we would have had the WiFi as recreation.gov stated

Tent camper review - Pros- - Beautiful setting in the trees in a lovely National Park close to the visitor center. - Toilets are clean, drinking water available close to each site and an area to wash dishes. - Hearing the Bison close to the campground is awesome. - Amphitheatre with evening programme is great. Cons - - If you are tent camping most sites marked as 'tent' sites have no tent pad and very un level ground making it unsuitable for a tent. Putting in a tent pad in each site would not be alot of work but would make this a much more desirable place to camp. Our first stay was at site 14 in the tent only loop, this was a fantastic spot. - Images of the sites on the rec.gov website are poor quality so don't help with choosing a site. - if you do t manage to find a spot in the tent only loop then you might end up next to a noisy RV like we did in site 45. A huge RV turned up shortly after we set up and had their engine running all day making our site noisy and smelling of fumes. We packed up and left two days early because of this inconsiderate camper. - Mobile data is mostly non existent in most of the campsite and WiFi is only close to the entrance.

We were passing through and I had reserved spot 9. I regret not staying more than one night. Really nice, well maintained campground. Clean restrooms nearby as well as clean water. Would definately recommend.

Stayed 2 nights at 2 sites in A loop (tent only). Sites are clean, well kempt, but have some inconveniences. $24 a night. As far as this loop, most sites have a level, square gravel pad. All have a tall firepit and an aluminum bench. My first site (12A), you go up a small hill to get to the gravel pad and the bench is also kind of far from the firepit which is annoying. The second (10A) was better but is completely surrounded by poison ivy FYI. Sites 10 and 12 are extremely close together. Clean, plumbed restrooms, running water, and even a utility room. No firewood, not allowed to collect downed wood. Check for poison ivy when trying to find a firepoke. As for wildlife, at this site I viewed white tail deer, mule deer, bison, woodpecker, and heard coyotes at night. Not buggy, very good weather and mild breeze. Down the road drom visitor center on one end, and fields of prairie dog towns on the other where you can also view pronghorn and bison.

Our campsite was not at all private, very cramped next to another site with the tables practically touching. The picture shown for the site made it look more private. The bathrooms were always busy and so small. This was also the loudest campsite we've had in quite a while with someone smoking something quite foul smelling nearby. The only positives: no mosquitoes and close to the visitor center where the cave tours start!

Lovely, peaceful campground. I've always found a spot. Sometimes there's is wood available at the entrance for a donation fee. Bathroom are closed in winter. Bisons and other wildlife are in the area, and it's very exciting. Beautiful sunrise and moon rise can be seen from the top of the hill. Perfect spot for night sky view, protected from the wind.

A nice quiet campground in a National Park. It is a typical older NPS campground with most of the sites being wide spots along the road. There are a few back in sites, but they are pretty small. We have a 29' long 5th wheel, and there's many sites that we can't get in. There's also one loop just for tents. Don't expect over the air tv or any cellular signal either. This campground is perfect for unwinding and disconnecting!

Beautiful, quiet except for the coyotes, lol. Flush toilets, tent pads as it is sloped ground, wooded with tall pines, sites are 100' or more apart.

We were kinda reluctant to go here because of it being first come first serve. So glad we did. This campground is so quiet and peaceful. Had water hook up only. Bathrooms were really clean and firewood for sale for a donation. Had a deer come in our campsite every evening. We would definitely stay here again.
