Winter Bay is such a cozy little getaway spot right off the water. Whether you’re staying in one of their cute cottages, bringing your trailer, or pitching a tent, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The crowd there has a friendly, community vibe, with many people returning year after year, which says a lot about the place. It’s quiet, quaint, and the perfect mix of nature and comfort. The staff are wonderful—helpful, kind, and always making sure your stay feels easy and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a peaceful camping or cottage experience with a great location and great people, Winter Bay is definitely worth it.

The experience is horrible here: A) The toilet flush stopped two times already. Pictures are attached. B) The bath has water stopped in it for so long that we couldn't take bath and had to use shared bath where we are allergic to. C) The flush system produce strong voice that doesn't let you sleep as it has some mechanical system. D) There are 100's of bugs inside like spiders, mosquitoes and other wood insects. I got insect bad bite on finger, legs etc (attached). They are all over my clothes , utensils, toilet paper etc. Photos are attached. E) We had to use the dirty shared bath and toilets ( far away from suite) in a camping site even after we have allergies to use shared washroom and there was a reason to book suite after paying so much money. F) The owner asked us to shift somewhere else (which is not possible as we travel most of the day - its easy to say from host end but difficul to do) or take the available cottage. The cottage we have been shifted too is very small and not worth money we paid. It had dirty bedsheet. No ventilation in washroom and kitchen. There is no amenity like suite that we booked and paid for. Today at 25th July again the bugs are eating us inside the room where we want to relax. G) We spent 3 hours to shift our stuff from one place to another and yet not satisfied with this property. It had missed our guided tour which costed us $400 cash. H) Owner told us that there is a washer and dryer but never told that dryer doesnt work. We paid $6 to dryer and ran it 3 times still it didnt wash our clothes. Someone already staying there told us that dryer doesnt work properly. See the pictures how we had to dry our clothes and imagine how did we sleep another 2 nights. I) The kitchenette- lolz- if you use microwave and cooktop there - the switch trips. Horrible!!!! All pictures are attached here. You can only imagine the experience. I have never received any refund that host mentioned about. Moreover he had put bad reviews for a bad hosting. All the best to you if you like real wood bugs. Definitely not worth the money. Better book a clean campsite instead with beautiful view. The lake behind had nothing to do. You cant even stand there.
