There aren't many places open in October in the Dells where you can stay with your dog and also not freeze in a tent. This was a great and affordable option for us. We were a little hesitant with all the reviews mentioning a very loud train. We did notice the train, but we honestly didn't think it was that bad. We never heard a train horn. The tiny home/lodging we stayed in was awesome! We came fully prepared to go camping with our own plates, utensils, camping chairs, etc. and were shocked to see so many things provided for us. We loved the rocking chairs by the campfire at night! The space was clean - even the bedding which came as a big surprise to us at a Campground. Staff was friendly and we appreciated the text messages/updates during our stay about what was going on at the Campground. We thought it was well worth the value compared to many of the other more expensive places we've stayed at in the Dells. It's also in a very convenient location. We will 100% be back and stay again.

Nice little KOA that was still open in October. Most amenities were closed (pool, main showers, etc.) but nice and clean single bath and shower open. Great welcome staff and lots to do nearby. Main negative is that it’s close to the highway so there is some noise but not too bad. Easy gas, beer, firewood and a bar nearby. Check it out!

Unfortunately, the train, when it runs, sounds like it's running right through the middle of your site. You might as well be trying to sleep on a runway! They seem to be on a pretty random schedule, with our first experience being at 3am and then every hour thereafter. At 4am it sounded like one pulled to a stop on its tracks for about 20 minutes. There was the screeching of brakes and the roar of a massive engine in idle, then it sounded like a garbage truck dumping glass outside our bedroom window. And it just. kept. going. We live near a train track and I've never heard such a ruckus. There was no sleeping after that, especially when they continued to come through until 6 or 7am. But on day 2 the trains were smaller for the most part, and we didn't get the hourly visits at 3am. This is a pretty standard KOA otherwise, with a parking-lot style RV area that has a few spindly trees (unless you pull in next to the train tracks). We appreciated the dog-friendly cabins that got us out of tent camping in the rain - with a fridge and an AC unit to boot. It's just one of those camper beware situations: Book here with the full knowledge that you may be subject to what sounds like a train wreck straight from Super 8 at 3am.

Nice family campground! Cabins were super clean and efficient. Bunk room is tiny but does the job fine. Main room was very nice with separate air unit. Over head fans really need a good dusting so didn't turn those on. Pull out couch mattress is all springs, might be okay for small children. Staff was extremely nice and helpful! Pool does not seem heated, felt cold even on the hotter days. Splash pad is a nice touch and is within the pool area which is nice. Train can be heard and runs through often, but other than it's a nice place to stay.

DO NOT RENT SITE B25! We were in B25 for 8 nights. We did not spend a lot of time at the campsite and when we were there it was too hot to be outside. However it smelled. After 5 days I contacted the manager. He tried to write it off as “agriculture smells.” I knew it wasn’t and I couldn’t smell it anywhere else. He visited our site and determined it was the newly (city) installed sewer line behind our camper. He did refund one night stay. We were in the new part of the campground, the site was level and the full hookups were well placed. Plenty of room and a concrete patio & nice picnic table. There was only one activity (movie) the 8 days we were there. The staff was less than friendly and there was no trash pickup. Grounds were clean and relatively well maintained. The k9 camps needed poo pick up as some pet owners don’t do it. Didn’t use the pool area. It seemed small but looked in good shape.
