Has to be one of my favorite parks of all time. Such a treasure close to home. Wonderful hosts and park staff that do an amazing job maintaining the grounds and facilities. Plenty of nicely asphalt surfaces for biking and walking. Playgrounds, basketball court, trails, picnic areas, beach, etc. Both the Lick Creek and Sand Creek sides have a shower house and electric sites. The Overflow camp area is also very beautiful for those who can live without electric hookups. I try to enjoy throughout the year as much as possible.

Nice spacious sites (plus it was empty on this Monday). No FHUs and kind of rough bathrooms. Very nice and helpful camp host. Huge and beautiful park. Great bike riding! Good deal for the money.

Huge camp grounds. $20 a night tent camping with electric hook up. Well kept. Tons of paved space for bike riding etc. large plots. Tons of fishing spots.

When we got to our reserved campsite around 5pm, found out we didn't have to bother checking in with the park office. The space was already marked for us. The park area is huge. I was so happy to see that it was very well maintained. There was a group of adults that were a bit rowdy but shut down around 10 p.m., which was great. We stayed for 2 days and got to relax. Everywhere I looked, there were friendly faces and smiles. I am looking forward to coming back again this summer if I can find the time. I will recommend it to my family and friends for sure.

It's more like a remote RV n Camping spot than to be called a state park. Most of the photos posted here are either false or taken at some private farms/ranches somewhere few miles away from this state park. So do not believe those pics. Its a rough beach like place that seems more scary than soothing to eyes.
