Wolf River Trips & Campground

Overview

Wolf River Trips & Campground offers a quintessential Wisconsin outdoor experience centered around the scenic Wolf River. Located just outside New London, this park is more than just a place to park your rig; it is a gateway to one of the state's most popular river tubing and paddling destinations. The atmosphere is energetic yet laid-back, focusing on the simple joys of a riverside summer spent with friends and family.

Location & Surroundings

The park is nestled in the heart of the Fox Valley region, where the Wolf River meanders through lush woodlands and agricultural landscapes. New London provides a charming backdrop with its small-town hospitality and convenient access to supplies. The campground itself sits directly on the water, offering campers immediate access to the gentle currents and natural beauty of the riverbank, which is particularly stunning during the peak summer months.

Amenities & Park Features

The facility features a variety of sites, including water and electric hookups suitable for most RV styles. Travelers will appreciate the convenience of the on-site shuttle service, which transports visitors upstream for tubing, rafting, and paddling excursions back to the campground. Beyond the water, the park offers a well-stocked camp store for essentials, clean shower facilities, and recreational areas including a playground and volleyball courts to keep everyone entertained between river trips.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Just a short drive away, the Mosquito Hill Nature Center offers miles of hiking trails and educational exhibits on local wildlife and ecology. Anglers will find the area exceptional for walleye and white bass fishing, especially during the famous spring runs that draw sportsmen from across the region. For a taste of local culture, downtown New London offers unique local eateries and seasonal festivals that celebrate the rich heritage of the Wolf River valley.

Who This Park Is Best For

This destination is ideal for active families and social groups who prioritize outdoor activities and river adventures over luxury resort amenities. If your perfect vacation involves spending the afternoon floating down a river and the evening sharing stories around a scenic campfire, this park fits your travel style perfectly. It remains a top choice for RVers seeking a high-energy, water-centric getaway in a rustic Wisconsin setting.

Our family had a great time at Wolf River Trips & Campground! The staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The check-in process was smooth, and we were impressed right away by how clean and well-kept the grounds were. Our campsite was easy to access, and came with a picnic table and fire ring—perfect for evenings around the campfire. The bathrooms and showers were spotless (a huge plus compared to many other campgrounds we’ve visited), and the laundry area was a nice convenience. The highlight for us was definitely the river tubing trip. The staff handled all the shuttles and made it so easy, and floating down the Little Wolf River was peaceful, fun, and safe for the whole family. They also have a centrally located playground, volleyball court, basketball hoops, a bags and ladder toss area as well as horseshoes. After a day on the river, we had dinner at the Upper Deck Bar & Grill. The food was great and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and attentive. We met several seasonal campers there who all had very good things to say about the new owners. We went during the week which was nice since it wasn't crowded and there was very little wait time for food orders, shuttle rides and the tubing was leisurely and pleasant. We’re already planning our next trip back and would highly recommend Wolf River Trips & Campground.

River side camping was fun. If you want quiet time I would recommend camping away from river side. Set up earlier if you have a big rig on the riverside. It seems to fill up quickly with lots of groups. Campground seems very nice overall. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. It’s clean. The washrooms are clean there dump was a little more level. A fun place to go stay for the weekend with lots of people.

Great time and even better to do with friends! I only did the river trip and enjoyed a short trip with a group of 5. Very affordable and fun to have a tube for your cooler as well! It is difficult when the water level is low, so make sure to have a sturdy pair of flip flops to kick off rocks

This was my 1st experience with tubing at this location. We really had a great time, the tubes were very comfortable and I loved how we were able to clip them all together as a group.

We've gone tubing there for many years and it's always fun the longer trip is definitely worth it while the shorter trip last about an hour. The staff has always been friendly and the bus trip is fun.
