Amazing place. Went middle of AUG . Week days calm water few fishing boats ( our group caught 1- Pike, 8 trout , 3 salmon - Sunday through Wednesday . The staff is top notch and so polite! Stayed in A section camp ground . If you can take a week day off schedule a trip over night rather camper or tent and do some fishing and or take in a hike . 10 min from town . Can rent boats and take family around lake and fish or relax or bring yours .

D loop is setup horribly. Can’t even back your camper into the site and have to park both the vehicle and camper on the unlevel road. Stayed for a bike trip near steamboat but I’ll look elsewhere next time.

Read Kay Mason's review from about a year ago - it is SPOT on. This campground is so busy it doesn't need any more reviews, but leaving this one for strangers passing through, like us. We're traveling all summer, and that means we have to be *somewhere* for July 4th. We spent a week a Wolford and enjoyed the "ghost town" portion, where campers and boats are left behind and weekenders return home. Loop D has no hookups, fine for us since we have full solar. We've come to expect that also means lots of generators running - and our expectations were met. If you're hoping for peace and quiet, this place isn't it. Lots of activity as other campers, kids, dogs, and bikes crisscross between campsites - everybody knows everybody. It's fine except for people - kids and adults - walking right *through* our campsite. Come on, people! I even had to stop one kid as he was about to step either on our solar panels or wires. Several dogs off leash, tormenting those who are on leash (lots of barking). Sites themselves are wonky. Loop D is one way, yet if you follow that then your door is facing the road, not your campsite. There's not a single tree or bush, so not only no shade but zero privacy. Sites are nowhere near level and you'll need blocks to disperse weight if you have a heavier rig because they aren't compacted very well. On the plus side, we had a great experience renting a pontoon for a couple hours. Fast, friendly check-in, reasonable priced, and the boat was in much better condition than we'd expect for a rental!

It was a decent campground. The sites weren't great, but the area was really pretty. It looked like a lot of rvs were stored there for the summer, like people came up on weekends. This made it really quiet while we were there on a Wednesday. The sites weren't level as stated on the website. However, it wasn't hard to level. The electrical box was on the camp side which was poorly designed but if you run your cable under the rv it works. We did have to dig down the area for the stairs to be able to close the door.

This was a great, quick one right stop for us. It's definitely tailored more towards RVs or walk-in tents(up on the hill). We have rooftop tents, so it is easy for us to really camp anywhere. However, having a more "tent" friendly location would have been better. But the park itself is super clean, big and great areas to have a picnic and fire. It overlooks the late and had great views. The bathrooms were clean and stocked, and they had water to fill up our jigs/tanks.
