Stopped for a couple nights on the way to Nova Scotia. Booked online and got a reply, but no confirmation. Waited 2 days then called. A lady answered, took my info and said to come right to their campground. When we arrived the guy couldn't find any record of my reservation. Acted like he didn't believe me. I said to check his online reservation records but he just (grumpily) booked us in and went about his business. The pool was closed, the laundry was also closed, with a note to go to the nearest town to do laundry.... At least the showers were open.... Kinda disappointed, since their website says "freindly" and " welcoming".....

We have been camping at Wood Haven for 3 wonderful weeks. The site is beautiful with a combination of trees for shade and open space. The water is great quality, fresh and can be used for all purposes. The facilities are clean and inviting. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. We are 12 minutes from Costco and the Bayer’s Lake shopping district but feel as if we are in a relaxing country setting. We are already booked for next year. Thanks, Wood Haven!

Absolutely Incredible Stay at Woodhaven RV Park! We had the most amazing experience at Woodhaven RV Park. It was more than just a campground, it truly felt like a little community. The staff were the friendliest people, and by the time we left, they felt like friends. They embraced our two toddlers like family taking them on golf cart rides around the park, showing them how fun camping can really be. It meant the world to us. The pool was warm and inviting, surrounded by classic Adirondack chairs such a relaxing spot. They even had pool noodles available to use, which was such a nice touch. The whole campground is incredibly well maintained, with lots of beautiful wooded lots that feel private and peaceful. There is a communal fire pit and the adorable on-site store is a hit with both kids and adults from popcorn, an old-school coin ride, snacks, ice, wood, drinks etc. Our kids loved the playground from baby to big kid swings, climbing structures, monkey bars, and the fun twirly slide. It was the perfect space for them to burn off energy between activities. But one of the best parts, The peace and quiet. You feel like you’re camping deep in nature, but you’re only 20 minutes from Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, stunning beaches along the South Shore, and just 40 minutes to the wineries in the Valley. The location is unbeatable. The park is also big rig friendly! We watched some impressive RVs roll in, and my son was totally in awe (so was I!). Did I mention FREE WIFI !! A nice bonus even when you’re camping. They also have a Rec hall for special occasions, a dog walk path where you can take your dogs for a nice nature walk and a laundromat! You can tell the family that runs Woodhaven RV park takes immense pride in what they do. From the landscape to the day-to-day upkeep, everything is spotless and cared for with love and hard work. We will 110% be back and we truly can’t wait!

We had a nice stay at Woodhaven in Site #10 - a pull-through, full service site. The campground was tidy, though spaces are rather close together. Staff is helpful. We liked having the trees around the campsites. Convenient for exploring Halifax and the greater area.

A large park well located for easy access to Halifax and the coves to the south. The average sized 3 way sites are set between medium sized trees. Some sites are more open than others. You can hear the soft drone of the road while outside your RV but I did not find it annoying. The bathhouses are modern, clean, and functional. The small shop offers ice and other camping essentials. There is a pool and laundry. I would use them again if in the area.
