We are full-time RVers and are passing through KC for a concert at the casino. The amusement park is closed for the season but we're not here for that anyway. Just the middle section of camping area is open with pull-through sites. The RV park is clean and very well maintained. There are 2 sections of cabins and they look super cute. RV sites are large and fairly level, all concrete with some small bushes between sites. The highway noise is very loud as it's set right off the expressway.

Drove over 5 hours to stay overnight. Enjoyed the worlds of fun park. Also like to note the front desk people were very nice. I rented a cottage. So for context of how it went. Check in was at 4pm so we went to the park first and were there till around 2:30-3pm. Then took the shuttle bus to check in the desk people were very nice and helpful as where the service would get a great review because they let us check in slightly early so we could get back to the park and re-enter before cut off at 6pm. We went and check it out and put some drinks we purchased from the village store in the fridge. We were there about 5 minutes and did a quick check. It looks amazing (big mistake should have checked thoroughly) Ok so we went back to the park till close as we got to the parking lot at 11:30pm and got back to the cottage about 12:25 with traffic. My nephew laid down on the futon in the living area. I took a shower and went to the bedroom and laid down on the bed. I immediately started itching after about 2 minutes. I flipped on the light and looked on the pillow and found bedbugs. It was abkut 1:30am- 2am at this point. I did a sweep of the rest of the bed and found more and took videos and pictures and checked the bunk beds also finding more under the pillows and these beds were never disturbed from the arrival conditions beyond me flipping the pillow. I was trying to figure out what to do so i went over to the check in building and there is no staff for overnight hours to talk to. I didnt have any other options but to up and leave at 3am after having no sleep since before work friday as were now at sunday at 3 am. I left my house at 4 am to pick up my nephew for this trip and we were on the road at 5:20 am or so to head to the park. so i returned the keys in the return box and left later having to sleep in my car for 30 minutes due to fatigue and lack of sleep. I paid $179 and some change for this cottage. I contacted them to make sure they got the keys when i finally got home and to tell them about the bedbugs and the person on the phone said they gave the information to their manager along with my number and would have them contact me. I just woke up and have not received the call. This was cottage 214. DO NOT STAY THERE. I wish there was a way to post the videos and pictures here as well. I dont want anyone to make the mistake of laying in their nasty bedbugs and end up tracking them in their vehicle and home. We didnt have any luggage and im hoping that redeems us from taking em home.

Traveling across states solo with two toddlers is chaotic to say the least. Jessica at check in was a complete life saver. I booked through a third party website and was about to take the L on a deposit when I was told it’d be a two hour wait before my reservation would show up on their system. She stepped in right away and had our key in hand within 10 minutes. Cottage was fairly clean, more quiet than a hotel room, quiet campground, very spacious, plenty of room. Shower was hot and even had a tub option for the littles. Service was exceptional! From a traveling overstimulated mom, thank you so much!

Have been to the parks many times but first time staying at Worlds of Fun Village. I was nervous after reading the recent reviews about ants, but we didn't see any. The cabins were clean comfortable and affordable. Convenient short drive to both park parking lots. Staff was friendly. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub also.

I wish I had gotten more pictures, it is worth the money, we originally was going to do a two day pass with one day cabin. It rained Sunday so change of plans. The cabin comfortably fit all 7 of us, the loft was perfect for the medium kids. I felt very at ease and just comfortable there. It is a small house but there is just enough room to move around and do what needs to be done. Now if you gotta shower do not expect to be showering everyone right after each other because it is not a big water heater by any means! Maybe two showers per hour and an hour between to let it fill up. But worth it if you can get early check in and put stuff up, go to the park, go to the cabin and eat, go back to the park, and then go take a nap halfway through the day and back to the park for a bit before they close. You will get your money's worth getting a cabin and coming prepared.

Our heat would not work, we were stuck in the 50s for 2 days and nights as well as the WiFi wouldn't allow us to do anything we needed to with internet. The place is comfy and cute. They do provide plenty of towels and blankets. I love that they have a laundry room right by the office and swimming pool. There's a shuttle that will come every 30 minutes to take you to Worlds Of Fun!

They have a security gate that supposedly closes at 5 but actually closes earlier than that. I asked if there were any specific directions to get in different than directions and they said no, but that was incorrect. Maps takes you to the park entrance which is closed half the year. So I turned my huge rig around and went to the security gate but there doesn't appear to be an office there so I went wandering around the park while my rig was blocking the gate. The office is actually right next to the gate but there are no signs on that side, signs are in the other side of the building. If they added a sign saying to walk around the corner to register that would help. When I got there one of the staff said I didn't have a reservation but luckily another one disagreed and registered me. The area around it isn't great, so probably the only reason to stay here is if you want to go to the amusement park.

This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. The sites all have concrete driveways and picnic table areas. We have a 43' 5th wheel and I was able to back it in with no problem. Karen was super nice. She got us checked quickly and even tried to get us a pull-through spot. It's not the quietest park just because you can hear the park noise from the Interstate. The office was beautifully decorated for Fall/Halloween

Very nice campground that is well maintained. They have a pool, bathroom with showers, store and laundry. All the spots are level concrete pads. Each spot has a grill and picnic table. The WIFI is very good. Walking distance to the back entry of Worlds of Fun and if that entry is closed they have a free shuttle service.

Camped Sat 8/18/24 for two nights. Easy to access, full hookup, super nice staff, outdoor pool for guests, and a parking lot away from the parks. The spots along the road have newer privacy bushes planted and are only 2-3’ tall, so you definitely have to see your neighbor, unlike the pull through spots. No big deal to me, my dogs however would track in the dirt from the area into the camper. The dumpster area is behind the check in building and very out of the way, and needs a good general clean up to even get close to the dumpster. Be prepared for road noise, motorcycles, semis. Had the A/C running so it’s not so bad, but the occasional semi braking would startle me awake. Overall very pleased with the stay and would come again. The kids had a blast!!

We stayed one night in the cottage that slept 6. We honestly had a wonderful stay, front desk was friendly (mask is required inside to check in) the cottage was small but quaint. Will definitely stay again to be so close to the park!

We stayed here during a weekend visit to KC and it was very nice. The pool was really clean with plenty of seats for those who just want to relax. The grounds were well maintained and clean. The cabins were cozy but very worth the price. The cabins could have been a little cleaner and serviced on the outside. When we go to KS we'll definitely stay again unless we take a camper. Which we might try the camper area.

I was impressed with the sites and amenities. One of the nicest RV parks we've stayed in the last 10 years. I thought the noise from people screaming on rollercoasters would be obnoxious, but we could barely hear it in the camper and actually enjoyed it. There were fireworks each night at 8:55 that lasted 5 minutes, but they are set off on the other side of the grounds so they weren't too loud and it was nice to watch from our picnic table. The tickets for the park were reasonable especially because the ticket gets you into both parks. This is a great family stop for campers. Highly enjoyable.

Stayed here overnight. Very nice set up. Concrete pads with plenty of room. Good cable and WiFi. Clean restrooms. Location was close to stores and restaurants. Thanks to another reviewer we ate at Joe's Kansas City BBQ...yum! Staff was very friendly and efficient. We did not visit Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun, but can see this being a good family vacation spot, especially if you have kids.
