I absolutely love this park, would had been a super easy 5 stars, however I’m devastated, Why after 35 yrs that I know of, haven’t they fixed the trail around the lake? Should be a cement trail by now, as parts of it already is…. Disappointed 🥹

Very pretty area of Iowa just outside Denison. There is a nice wide intermediate walking trail that is 4 miles long around the lake. Has Frisbee golf course and playgrounds for the kids. A couple Handicap accessible fishing pier and fish cleaning house. The cabins appear to be nicely maintained, and there are several pull -thru camping spots. Also, dumping stations for your RVs.
