I stayed here for 4 nights with my children while we visited the surrounding area. We tent camped along the river which has some rather nice roaring rapids that make sleeping at night so much better. Yes, the kids activities are minimal and they could do a little better but this is a very rural mountain town in the middle of nowhere so expectations weren't sky high. We were there to sleep and eat, not for the activities so we found everything acceptable for my kids. The heated pool is slightly lacking but it was nice to have a pool on such a hot day. There are a lot of bugs and ants here so be prepared for that; my tent is roof mounted so I avoided a lot but they come down off the trees as well. Overall decent stay, customer service is ok but I've had worse. I promised the kids we would come back next year so we will be back.

We booked this campground for a last minute, end of summer vacation getaway after reading about it on the Jellystone website. We drove 4 hours to get there. This place did not align with what the website advertised although the campground was nice, clean and the river is beautiful. Let me explain the low stars: Upon arrival, I checked in at the store and was greeted by staff that I assume were having a bad day, they were not very welcoming. The directions to the site left us moving a large camper around in very tight spaces to come in at a different angle than the lady at the check in said in order to get it into the site correctly. We had young children that were excited that there would be Yogis' birthday celebration from Thursday to Sunday, as advertised on the website, only to be told that they would be doing it on the Saturday only. The web site advertised that there are movies in the evenings and we were told when we got there and asked, that this is only done on Friday and Saturday (weather permitting, which it did not, obviously no fault of the staff for the weather). The activity center / craft area is only open from 1000 - 1630 with lunch from 1200-1300. The ladies working it were nice but they did not make the atmosphere fun and lively. They would answer questions and get items requested but otherwise sat there or played with their own children. The free crafts were okay at best ( something printed on paper and almost dried out markers) and the other crafts were expensive for what was provided. There is rock painting, which seemed to be a hit but you needed to bring your own rock and it washed off as soon as the rain hit the dried paint. The activities itinerary , dated April instead of August, was not followed. I guess if I had asked, the ladies would have given me the stuff to do the craft with my children, but what about the children who did not have an adult with them? There is great potential for the craft / activity area if only a little initiative were there and supplies were stocked. There is a basketball court but you can only use the balls from 1000 - 1630 if they are available. The " heated" pool was freezing , perhaps only heated to a tolerable temp on weekends? The arcade cost 0.50 to 1.00 per game and was enjoyed by my children. I do find the prices to be a little high for the games though especially for the price to camp there. The prices on the items in the store can't be counted on as it may change when you get to the register. The lady checking me out acted as if I was the one who changed the price tag on an item... I do not have the habit of carrying around a price tag machine in my pocket so I was a little offended by her comments on the price difference that I had no part of. The cable is extremely grainy at best and the wifi worked only for a few hours during whole time we were there. I would like to comment on one store staff member by the name of Donna who was very friendly and welcoming when she was working! Thank you for your sweet smile and attitude Donna! Overall, even though the campground did not align with what the website advertised, we did have a nice time there and will probably go back again. In the future though, I will make sure that we do not need to shop in the store, that we have plenty of crafts and activities ourselves and bring a mini projector to have our own movies by the campfire at our own site. The campground is shaded, it is clean, quiet and the river is well worth the trip, just do not go expecting what the website proclaims for the children.

This place is older, but its got the best spot on Raven Fork and trees for shade. Keeps is cool in the summer. It's also under new management, so I'm excited to see how he will fix it up. New dryers need to be first. Take it from a mom, we need working laundry facilities. Staff is amazingly kind and attentive. Wild Bill and Ms. Kate are super friendly. Definitely 5 stars for service, because they are all helpful. Lots of kiddos running around. Great place if youve got only one, because they can make fast friends.

Love it there. I've been coming for about 18 years. I do feel like the prices have gone up drastically over the past couple years and that it's a little high priced for a camp ground now. If they go up more I hate to say it but I may look into some of the other camp grounds in the area. The staff are awesome and was able to resolve any issues I had although I do feel that one lady there is a little to old to still be working there. She was very sweet though.

We absolutely LOVE Yogi in the Smokies! The staff is always pleasant, the activities throughout the day are great for the kiddos and we have never had a problem with the bathhouse! We normally go for my oldest daughter’s birthday in October and they never disappoint! This year we will be attending for 4th of July and my youngest daughter’s birthday and we can’t wait!

My family have been going to this campsite for 10 years every year. My Grandchildren loved it. We enjoyed all of the activities and staff. We enjoyed Yogi Bear walking around the campgrounds. My Grandchildren got excited every year to come .Last year, may be our last year. The new management has changed so many things that my Grandchildren got bored. There was no fun activities for them to do. During activities, there used to be Yogi Bear rerun cartoons on TV through the day and the activity room was always opened. Until you get better management, we probably won't be back.

Overall great camp site. The site we chose ended up being on a slight hill, and there was no great flat spot to set up the tents so we were slanted a bit. Loved that we were next to the river, and the bathrooms were close enough to walk. Pretty grounds overall and the people we camped next to were very helpful and kind. 4 stars as they are going to enforce only one tent per camp site meaning two tents per site will not be allowed. The sites are big enough for two tents and it doesn't feel too crowded.

My family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. We rented cabin #212. We were SO impressed by this cabin. The pictures on the website did not show the inside so we didn’t know what to expect. It was SO spacious! The website said dorm fridge but we had a full size fridge. The kitchen was stocked with all the kitchen utensils we needed. We cooked breakfast, lunch, and supper there. The shower always had hot water. The beds were comfy. The only con we came across was that two poisonous snakes were found on the campsite while we were there but that was not the campgrounds fault… we washed laundry while we were there and it was convenient… Pack quarters…it was just a great trip and place! We will definitely be back to try out another cabin

My daughters (12 and 10) say this is their favorite campground and they have been camping their whole lives. They love the activities and we love the scenery. The hay ride in the morning was a big hit and the activities section is where my daughters spend most of their time. They also love the arcade. The staff is kind and it is always a wonderful visit. It is clean and well cared for campground. There is a variety of different campers from singles to families to retired couples; so everyone feels welcome.

Always a great time, even if it rains. So beautiful out in the mountains.
