York Beach Camper Park

Overview

York Beach Camper Park offers a classic coastal Maine experience, serving as a family-friendly gateway to the Atlantic shore. Established as a long-standing destination in the region, this park provides a comfortable base for those looking to explore the historic town of York. The atmosphere is traditional and welcoming, focusing on the simple joys of seaside camping while offering the essential modern conveniences required for a smooth RV stay.

Location & Surroundings

The primary draw of this park is its unbeatable walking distance to the heart of York Beach. Situated just a short stroll from the vibrant town center and the oceanfront, visitors can bypass the hassle of local parking. The park is nestled near the Short Sands Beach area, providing immediate access to salt air, sandy shores, and the rhythmic sounds of the ocean. It is a quintessential Maine setting where the forest meets the sea.

Amenities & Park Features

The facility is well-equipped to handle modern RVs with full hookup sites that include water, sewer, and electricity. For entertainment and connectivity, the park provides cable TV and wireless internet access at most sites. On-site facilities include clean bathhouses, a laundry room for long-term travelers, and a playground for children. While the sites are designed to maximize the premium coastal real estate, they offer a functional and tidy layout for a stress-free camping experience.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Guests are perfectly positioned to enjoy the best of the southern Maine coast. A short walk leads to The Goldenrod, where visitors can watch saltwater taffy being pulled, or to York's Wild Kingdom zoo and amusement park. Photography enthusiasts often make the quick trip to the iconic Nubble Lighthouse, one of the most photographed beacons in the country. The surrounding area is also rich with seafood shacks, boutique shopping, and scenic walking trails along the rocky coastline.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an ideal match for beach-loving families and couples who want to be in the center of the action without needing a car. It is best suited for travelers who prioritize location and convenience over secluded, rustic wilderness. Decent, cheap, quiet campground. We stayed in a tent site, sites are pretty close together. There is a dishwashing station and hot showers at the front of the place. Dog friendly as well.

Amazing people, great facilities! We were tent camping and loved our quiet forest spot. Walking distance to the main part of town. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful TENT CAMPING SITES. Spacious site with fireplace. Pine and oak tree canopy. The best thing was : NO BUGS"; I was told no bugs because of the ocean. Stayed for 3 days over the Fourth of July weekend. Great weather. Very close to York town center and The Goldenrod. Temperatures at night was low 60'S. Very comfortable sleeping. Small pond in the back of the tent site, very scenic.

We're from Canada and had to find a place to stay for the night since our car broke down in the late afternoon while we were on our way out of York Beach area. We checked-in last minute at York Beach Camper Park and even though our stay was short, it was fantastic! The location was within walking & biking distance from the beach and main attractions. Owners and all staff members were so kind and helpful with our situation. Thank you so much to everyone we met there! We will definitely keep this campground on our "will-come-back-list" next time we plan a roadtrip in Maine.

We spent a week here and it was great! The campsite was quiet and in a good location to where we could walk to the shops and zoo. The zoo was awesome! Driving to Long Sands Beach and the lighthouse was easy. Diane and her daughter were very friendly and helpful! We definitely recommend and will be going again.
