Yreka RV Park

Here is my experience. I made a reservation to stay overnight from Friday to Saturday and was assigned to back-in site H06. I arrived at the campground around 4:55 pm, just as the staff were leaving the office. I had already completed the online check-in, so I had the map and directions to my site. When I arrived at site H06, I immediately noticed that the trailer next to my site looked like it had been abandoned for a long time. There were several broken-down cars around it, and there was a very strong smell of garbage and cat urine coming from the area. It made the site feel unpleasant and unsafe to stay in. I called the number listed on my booking right away to ask if there was another site available, even if I had to pay extra to upgrade or move. A lady answered the emergency line and told me that the number was for emergencies only, and that I would need to call the office the next day for reassignment. At that point, there was no way to contact management or get any help with the site. Because of the condition of the area and the smell, we ended up leaving the campground and finding another place to stay for the night. I emailed the reservations team immediately to explain what had happened. They replied within about 10 minutes and said they were sorry to hear about my experience and understood my frustration, but that they could not do anything. They cancelled the reservation right away, but told me no refund could be issued due to their refund policy. I understand that there is a refund policy, but my concern is whether management properly checked if this site was actually suitable to rent out. If the site or surrounding area was not ready for guests, it should have been blocked off so guests could book another site instead. The whole back-in area seemed to need attention, with abandoned trailers, broken-down vehicles, and a terrible smell, especially on a hot summer day. For anyone considering booking this campground, I would not recommend booking a back-in site. The campground needs to address the condition of that area and provide a better way for guests to get assistance after office hours. No one wants to pay around $60 for this kind of experience, especially when the issue could have been prevented before the site was rented out. There are other great campgrounds in the area, and I will not be staying here again in the future. This was my personal experience, and I hope management takes it seriously.

Clean and well maintained RV park. Level concrete pad. Public park next door to walk your dog, and next to the Rogue River. My only nit is the I-5 traffic noise when outdoors. Inside the RV I didn’t notice. Would stay here again.

I have a regular camping destination up in Oregon, and stop here this as a place to spend the night and break up the trip. The facility is very clean, everything works, the Wi-Fi is reliable, and the few times I have talked to staff they have all been very nice and helpful. The Indian food at the truck stop nearby is pretty good and can make a nice change from normal road food. Great place to stop, take a hot shower and rest.

Unfortunately this RV park has really declined under the new management. The location is convenient and the sites themselves are decent, but the overall experience is no longer what it used to be. Laundry facilities are consistently dirty, machines are small, and it’s common for washers and dryers to be out of service. This park used to be much better run, which makes the decline especially disappointing.

Expecting an overnight stay we woke up to a few inches of snow. Not equipped to travel in those conditions. Reached out to Selena who checked out road cameras and found out full extent of weather forecast. Later walked up to thank her and met Nick also. Who would have been the one who fills the propane for heat. Turned out that neither he or near by fuel station are Certified to fill anything but canisters. Having been self employed for over 50 years it is a throw back to customer service excellence. Greet people with a smile, be willing to assist by keeping them informed and be honest about what you can't provide. Turned out following day Selena let us know of window of clearing weather and road openings. Returned home safe and sound. Grateful campers Ceci and john simontacchi

We arrived a little after 5 pm and found someone in our assigned spot setting up their motorhome. When I told them we had been assigned the spot she was very apologetic and said there was someone in their assigned spot. She called the office lady who said “oh well just take B7” which was our assigned spot. Felt bad for them because they had already manually leveled their rig but there was not another spot big enough for our rig and tow vehicle. After a day of traveling this was very disappointing. Also no WiFi as advertised, dog park had no garbage can just a pile of poop bags on the ground and empty poop bag dispenser. This looks like the majority of spots are filled with long term residents. Will not stop here again. A pretty hokey operation

We stayed here for one night. Park itself is Great- quiet quests, well maintained, good water and electric, great guest services. Our low rating for location is due to proximity to truck stop and the trucks idling engines all night long. Bring ear plugs otherwise a great stop on I5.

Great RV Park with large pull-thru spaces. Slightly sloped but very easy to manage. Most sites have a trees and grass lawn outside your front door. Full-hookups. Truck stop next door for convenience items. Lola in the office is wonderful! Guests were respectful of quite time. No parties observed.

The lady in charge hung a sign on the office door that said she was out in the park. When we called her, she promised to come to our site. She never did. We never got a receipt. We were told this park was well laid out to accommodate big rigs. Not true. Too many sharp turns. Incense the roads are all gravel, you get to listen to anyone driving by late at night or early in the morning. Not returning.

We enjoyed our stay at Yreka RV Park very much. Location was great, long pull throughs and quiet. Customer Service was great. We only changed locations twice. Some trees are kind of wide or hang low for our RV. She was very accommodating.

This little RV Park has been a favorite one or ours over the past few years. We love the quiet atmosphere. I have watched them improving it over time. Staff is friendly and the showers/laundry are always clean. The have recently improved their community room. Great for groups traveling together and have a meet and great activity in.

Everything was good except for the tree branches that were not trimmed high enough, so they scratched the roof of my motorhome when I was pulling into the assigned spot.

I was very disappointed the dish TV system didn't work. What should the discount be when an advertised service doesn't work and maintenance can fix it? This seems to be an issue throughout the park.

We stayed for one night passing through Yreka. Service was great and the facilities were generally well maintained, although the playground is in rough shape. We had a great stay.

Okay for an overnight stop. Easy in and out. Hot shower, facilities were good. We arrived late and check in was simply to find a spot and pay in the morning. This place is beside a truck stop but still fairly quiet. We liked the well marked gravel lots but many spots(if not all) are not level. Some RVs had their jacks extended out and wheels off the ground.
