Went for the Drone show 4th of July. Free parking free admission. Disappointed they did not announce which direction the drone show would start. They have a nice large grassy area that they kept everybody off of and had them stand on hard concrete for the 15 minute show. Now we know next year to not park in the parking lot as it is hard to get out without traffic control. Next year after we go in and mingle and eat and listen to the presentation we will get out of the fairgrounds when the Drone show starts to avoid it being blocked by trees.

Compared to the Alameda County Fair that I grew up going to, this was a lot smaller, however, it had all the elements you look for in a fair. Corn dogs? Check. Funnel cakes? Check. Rides? Check. Livestock? Check. Live music? Check. The only things I can really complain/warn folks about is the natural footing you have to traverse, which might make it difficult for anyone relying on wheels to move around. Its not terrible, mostly flat with natural textures. Basically, its not a paved blacktop. Overall, I thought it was cute yet very appropriately sized for the area and the people it serves. We went late on the final day just for the local experience and it did not disappoint... Except maybe vendor pricing seemed high, $9 for a corn dog, $20 for a hot dog combo, $11 for a jumbo-not very pretzely pretzel seemed really high for such an event.

I had a horrible experience at the yuba sutter fair today. My family and I decided to use the bumper car ride around 1130 pm, but one of my family members car wasn’t working the whole time on the ride, and the worker didn’t even notice when we tried to tell him, was distracted on his phone. Then, He refused to give us our tickets back because I guess we violated a rule by getting out of the car that he NEVER TOLD US ABOUT in the first place. We didn’t know that was a rule because he didn’t do his job properly and tell us the rules or pay attention when my family members car wasn’t working bc he was on his phone. But we calmly got off the ride when he told us to, and just asked if we could at least get our tickets back since the ride didn’t work in the first place for us. he brought some random scary guy who was eating food, who didn’t even show us a badge at all, to come back him up and yell at us. The man didn’t listen to our side, yelled at my family (a majority who were minors) and got aggressive towards my family. I would never come back to this fair or recommend this fair to any of my family and friends ever again. Save your money for a safer fair, where there are more professional workers and where your family can feel safe.

Just arrived for "kid's day" on a Friday at 1230pm, only to find that rides and food vendors don't even open until 4pm. Left immediately. Dumbest thing I've ever seen for a county fair to do
