WRIGHT RANCH HORSEBACK RIDES ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our ride with Wright Ranch was a true highlight of our trip! We had Mr. Wright himself as our guide, and he took us through some amazing hidden spots with stunning views. The horses were calm, well cared for, and perfect for all experience levels. You can tell this family really loves what they do—it made the whole experience feel authentic, relaxed, and memorable.

Very dispersed camping with stellar views. First come first serve for your spot. Outstanding way to camp and get away from the crowds of Zion. Bill and Evelyn are super kind and informative when leading the horseback rides. Highly recommend for a unique way to experience the beauty of Zion!

We had the most AMAZING time camping and trail riding at the Zion Wright Family Ranch. But before describing that I want to address some of the worries I saw in the reviews regarding getting to the ranch. - Road: People were complaining about the road being undriveable. We drove a Mazda CX-30 and did the drive absolutely fine. At no point did I feel it was too steep or too eroded. I suppose if there was heavy rains at some point that it could be hard, but we're in Zion - dirt roads will have bumps. Drive slow, confident, and be smart about how you navigate it. The drive should not stop you from staying/riding here. - Porta Potties: People complained about the porta potties, but it wasn't a problem for us. When we scoped a spot we checked the nearest porta potties to see if they were clean. They were all relatively clean, just look for one that meets what you need in term of cleanliness. Now onto the good stuff. We started with a trail ride with Calvin. Calvin was such a great host and incredibly hospitable. This trail ride left no rock unturned. We rode through the entire property and got some amazing views! Was our #1 experience throughout the entire trip. We also spent the night on the campground. The trees spread out throughout the campground made it easy to find shade to setup. At night, it was quiet and peaceful. The campground is truly serene and I couldn't ask for anything better. Also the stargazing was amazing! Bill and Calvin truly are awesome, and their ranch was a truly special part of our journey. I hope my review helps alleviate any of your worries because this is not an experience you should skip out on. Thanks again Bill & Calvin!

We did the Horse Riding 2 hour tour yesterday and it was incredible. Great horses, hosts, and landscape. They take you around this ridge line that has sweeping views of valleys and mountainsides in all directions. And because it’s their private property, there’s nobody else in sight the entire time. A truly magical, one in a lifetime type experience.

We paid $50 to boondock here and it was spectacular! Wow. Incredible scenery and views, Very private. Lots of fire rings dispersed around so everyone had a chance to pick an isolated spot. After a magnificent sunset, cows with cowbells roamed around us all night and it sounded like wind chimes. A few port-a-potties were scattered around. No electric, water or sewer hookups though. Highly recommend. Enjoy the solitude!

This place is amazing. I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was up there, or how much privacy I was able to achieve in a not-so-private National Park. It was exactly what my soul needed. (Also, the port-a-potties were very clean and didn’t stink at all!)

We absolutely adored our time staying at the Wright Family Ranch. It’s about a 35 minute drive from the visitor center at Zion National Park. Try to save that drive on your phone before arriving because we didn’t have service. The last 1.5 miles of this drive are on a bumpy dirt road. Semi-steep at parts. We arrived in a Nissan Rogue and were fine. There is no official check in process, you just pull in and choose your sight. Lots to choose from. The sights are incredibly spaced out. Lots of room for privacy. No amenities but there are porter potties. Bring your own TP. The views here are simply breathtaking. The red rock was completely surrounding us. Like a biiiiig ol’ nature hug. Sunset and sunrise here are unmatched. We even scored a full moon. Cowboy Bill was so incredibly kind to us. He truly just wants other people to be able to soak in the beauty of his land. He took us on a 2 hour horseback ride through his land and on the cliffs of the red rock. It was stunning. It was my first time ever on a horse so beginners are welcomed! (It was $99 each) This ranch is very remote and gives you that breath of fresh air feeling you’ve been searching for. Would recommend this spot over and over again. Go enjoy and soak it all in. Thank you, Bill! We will be back!

We loved our stay here, can’t recommend it enough! We have a 42’ fifth wheel and were able to get in here. If it’s raining it wouldn’t work, if you aren’t able to handle your rig on a dirt road with incline, it wouldn’t work. If you don’t scout your spot when you arrive, you could get in trouble. If you are experienced and smart about it, you will adore this place like we did. Do the horseback ride while you are there, great people, great horses, beautiful country! It will be a lifetime memory.

The coyotes howling during the night was riveting. Although we realized they were distant, we went around the camp with great trepidation during the nighttime hours. We had a great 3 night stay at the campground. It truly was off the grid and made you feel as one with the wilderness. The views are superb and the campground is immense; felt like we were the only ones in the campground. Additionally, the light pollution is minimal. When the moon is not out, you can very easily view the milky way. We managed to get a few astrophotography pictures straight from the campsite.

This place is the perfect off the grid experience in Zion. The property is absolutely beautiful. They do have a "hands off" approach but they were still very communicative and helpful whenever we had questions or concerns. We ended up booking horseback rides with Bill and we'd highly recommend that as well. Can't wait to come back one day!
