It takes a lot for me to actually write a bad review for a business, but these guys are very difficult to work with. Our first experience was our delivery guys having to unload our fully packed, full-sized moving truck from outside of the building because the garage door to drive through was broken. Paying by the hour, we did pay extra. It was a lot of stuff and hard work for them. Our unit was nowhere near any exterior door. That was only one of three times we were there, with an inoperable garage door. We also had locks straight cut off our internal unit earlier this year and later discovered we had multiple pieces of art stolen. They have also now owed me $200 for overpayment for months. I’ve actually talked to Stephanie twice (last time was a month ago, when she said she’d get right back to me again), emailed follow-ups, left additional voicemails and now I’m trying Facebook. Proof of overpayment has been provided every time. We moved out of that unit mid-July. It’s now November. Possibly the most frustrating company I’ve ever tried to communicate with in my entire life, but I am still owed money. Using them has cost us far more than the monthly rental fees. *Follow up* 4 hours after finally leaving reviews, I got an email saying a refund would be issued tomorrow, 11/4 *Follow up #2* It’s 11/18 and still no refund

So, called to pay my bill. Was 5 days late. Due to hip replacement surgery. It went from 70.00 to 95.00. I do not mind paying a late fee. But that much. Whoever I talked to yelled at me. When I said that was too much. I am 70 yrs. Old, on a fixed income. If I was physically capable of moving my stuff, i would. Very rude.

Our RV has been stored at the North location for over 11 years. The property is well maintained & clean. We had an issue last fall & Dallas worked tirelessly to get it resolved. We were so pleased. I have seen her walk the grounds, checking to make sure doors were secured. I think Dallas really cares and is an asset to the facility & the company. I'd definitely recommend A Better Self Sorage North.

The units are decent as well as the monthly rent, but the late fees are outrageous. The staff can be great at times, but issues have come up in the past and they don't always get solved the way they should. But all in all I'm happy I chose this establishment to store my belongings because they're safe here.

I rarely give 5 stars in my opinion 5 stars are for exemplary service, clean well thought out facilities and above average service. The staff and facility at A Better Self Storage are great. When storing there your items are well looked after, the staff knows your name and if you aren't a tenant they are eager to take care of your storage needs and bring you into the family. The units are the cleanest from what I can tell in the area, the office and staff present nicely and reflect well on the property. Dallas is a hidden in Gem in the area. She is eager to assist, quick to respond and present on the property. If you have an issue that they aren't aware of you will see quick resolution if you bring it to staffs attention instead of grumbling and being rude and if their is a solution you will have it before leaving the office. If you don't rent here you should. We have been here for years and love our choice.
