First of all, if you want to look around, how are you supposed to get in. Look, they don't even have a button that you can push to call to talk to someone. Nobody came out to say hello or anything. We looked around and we said, let's just go now. Reading all the reviews. I now know and from personal word-of-mouth. People are saying, stay away from this place. I'm glad we already have a seasonal picked out somewhere else nicer. Why don't you do yourself a favor my family owns campground? Why don't you clean it up? It's not that hard to get paint or some wood. You're making a lot of money with camping and campers.Pity n must be Liberals.

This place is awesome! Only got to be here a couple days, but would love to stay longer. It is rustic, in the woods, sandy but shady spots, has a small lake and beach with boat rentals. Yes, it has a large permanent population, but also plenty of spaces for Campers. All were friendly. It just has a big family vibe!

Great Lakeside campgrounds. Not the typical grid lot style campgrounds. Lots of woods and nooks for privacy. Really cool if you have a smaller setup as you can access more of the private spots. Nice sandy beach and big fishing dock. Dogs loved it too!

Went to Voices in the Valley NA Recovery event here. Grounds and people were awesome. Campground offers seasonal and day passes all reasonably priced as well as boat rentals and various other things. Campsites have water and power hookups 110/220 Everyone respected each others space but wouldn't turn you away if ya stopped to talk. I would recommend this place to everyone especially if you Love The Red, White and Blue.

We had a great time here! I read the reviews the day we left and was a little skeptical of how it was going to go. But was very happy with our stay. Were there golf carts? Yes of course, par for the course with seasonal campgrounds, especially when this is such a large campground. We never had any issues with the road being blocked or with seasonal campers being rude. The sites are grass/dirt and I imagine it could get messy with rain, but you're camping, what do you expect? The bathrooms near us were always clean. The beach was perfect for my kids, soft sand and no rocks at the water, so super enjoyable to walk around. I don't think the campers were overly loud after 11p. There were a few rowdy people but I kind of expect that while camping. People are going to let loose and have fun. Our AC drowned out most of the outside noise. Overall I would encourage people to go and try it out. My family already asked when we will go again (just just got home).

We are first timers here trying to find a relaxing, friendly, enjoyable environment to spend our Summers now that the 4 boy's are grown. It was the absolute most horrible camping experience we've ever had. The bathhouse was very old, the property didn't offer really anything to do other than sit on your dirt site and the whole environment was unfriendly and not welcoming at all. We were extremely happy to pull out of here.

Great seasonal campground with large lots. Animals are welcomed Nice walking trails. Beach area is sandy and not all those rocks to hurt your feet. Nice soft sand to swim in. Pretty quiet during the week for relaxing. A nice little office for emergency essentials you may need like toilet paper and ice cream treats candy etc for the kiddos. The ground staff always trying to improve and keep things picked up. There are a lot of old campers on seasonal sites but overall most sites are kept up by seasonal campers. There is always openings for weekend campers and the bathhouse is pretty decent plus laundry room. It’s everyone’s responsibility to keep their areas picked up and clean from garbage. Overall not a bad seasonal campground. Lots of room to move around. Campers are not on top of each other like other campgrounds have. Lots of privacy here. Lots of nature and woods and wildlife.

We were at AJ Acres for just three days with our grandchildren. It could be a valuable park but....it is incredibly run down. Thick loose sand everywhere. There has been no obvious upkeep for years. Anything made of wood is beyond rotten. Picnic tables are warped, severely weathered and wiggly. The fishing dock is weathered and unsafe. The children's play area was is such a dangerous and unsafe condition we could in no way let the kids use it for fear of falling through and hitting rusty screws and nails. It appears they run the grey water from the seasonal parked above the play area down to the grassy area. Pictures of this is attached. There does not seem to be any park rules enforced so if your looking for a good night sleep this is not the place. A VERY small bundle of firewood was seven bucks.

We found this online and the pictures looked great. Seemed like a great place to bring the grandkids. We had paid for three nights. We drove to our site and noticed all the trashy looking sites with junk in their yards along the way. We made it to our narrow site all dirt no grass or area to hang. We immediately left the campgrounds. There was no way we were staying in such a trashy area. We found a beautiful campground with large grassy sites elsewhere and paid less for the three nights. Expensive mistake!!

This place used to be a wonderful family campground where the kids could make new friends with all the kids they would meet. The fishing was good, campsites spacious and well groomed, amenities were kept clean and the office had ice, snacks and some staples. Now they've moved too many permanent trailers in, the campsites that are left are overgrown with trees, weeds, and garbage. I doubt unless they get new ownership and management that I will ever go back
