Very clean and spacious campground on the river! Tucked away from the road, it’s very quiet. Facilities were really tidy. The trails across the bridge were nice for a hike without having to leave the campground.

While the area is nice we did not like the lack of privacy. We constantly had other camper cutting across our sight with no regard for our space. Rules they say they have are not enforced. The rules say no mats down on the sight to protect the grass. We unknowingly parked over the dirt part thinking that was where the camper went which put us 15 feet away from septic and water hookup. Soon we discovered that no one follows that rule and in fact the dirt was where others had placed their mats. The price to stay was good. We just prefer more privacy which there is not a lot of.

Very nice RV park. Super easy sites to get in and out of. Wide open spaces and great things to do for the kids. Hiking, playground, pool and a river to float down give endless hours of fun in the sun. Update 6/28/2025: Second year coming here. Extremely relaxing, able to disconnect from the world and still has tons to do. Will most definitely be coming back year over year. Love this place!!!

Wifi connection weak & unreliable Very low water pressure Too many seasonal sites spoil the appearance of the grounds with their clutter (junk)

Great RV park. Sites are more spacious than other RV parks we've been to. Beautiful foliage views in October and we enjoyed our site right on the river. Quick ten minute drive to grocery store (Shaw's) and some nice local restaurants even closer. *Edited 7/2024: we went back to camp here for a few nights & it was beautiful. I highly recommend site 52 or 53. There's a stairway that leads right down to the river. We spent literally hours walking the river and relaxing on the little islands. The water was crystal clear. It was so private and peaceful and we will definitely be coming back here yearly.

Abel Mountain Campground is now one of our favorites! The owners are very friendly and take exceptional care of the sites .. which are larger than most campgrounds. Tubing on the river was an added plus and the pool was pristine! We will definitely return next summer with the grandchildren! Awesome place!

As small campgrounds go, this is a gem! Access to the river to tube(when the water level is high enough) and to a small set of hiking trails. The trails are not well blazed but Ridgeline Cooperative is working on adding mountain bike trails and working hard on them. Roads are dirt, but lots of golf carts if that is your thing. Bands nearly every weekend. Quiet other than the train. Easy access even for big rigs.

Wow! We love this place in the heart of Vermont. Spacious with a site that backed up to the crystal clear creek with a mountain behind. Water, sewer, 50 AMP, and excellent WiFi. They had us complete the registration online ahead of time, so check-in was super simple. We loved driving around Vermont back roads. They do not allow billboards in the state, so all the forests are all you see. We will definitely stay here again. The only thing is if you come from New York directly from the east be prepared to take some windy two-lane roads.

Sylvia and Ken are wonderful! It was just the 2 of us and our pup and we had a fantastic experience in our RV at Abel Mt. Super clean bathrooms and showers, the grounds are constantly being maintained and everyone was happy and helpful no matter the weather! Definitely will add it to our "Let's go back there!" list. Thank you to all the folks there who made our stay perfect!
