At Acorn Acres everyone is like family. Always something fun and special going on. It is the most beautiful campground I’ve ever been to. I have been seasonal here for 13 years and it’s just an amazing place to be. The campground is well maintained and all of the people running it work very hard and so kind.

This was my family’s first time staying at a campground just based on Google searches and proximity to the activities we wanted to do. I had no idea what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. I don’t know why the cute trail with cardboard animals isn’t more advertised but it was so fun and a great surprise! The property is clearly very well maintained and cleaned. The campground itself is amazing. That being said, the actual seasonal/other campers are what truly made our trip. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was so incredibly nice, welcoming, and felt like immediate friends. (Yes you, Sue and Scott❤️)Within a few hours we were welcomed by many other campers who then continued to always say Hello. The community makes it or breaks it and these people made it. Definitely worth a stay!!

Nice camp ground. Great staff, questionable residents. Camps for rent are so basic, no amenities, no water, no bathroom, and prison style bed set up. The ground would have been more comfortable than the illusion of a bed. Only good part was no bugs inside the 4 wood walls and there was electricity.

This campground is absolutely amazing. It's extremely clean and everyone is so friendly. There are plenty of activities for the kids to do including a pool, a small lake/pond, playground, basketball court, and much more. The location is perfect, it's quiet and away from the "city". On the other hand it is close enough to plenty of stores if you need something. Big stores are about 15 minutes away. The regulars are all so kind and welcoming. FYI the entrance (which is beautiful) can sneak up on you, just look for the sign. If you're coming from the south you will come to a stop sign and it's to the left on the right. Be careful because oncoming traffic doesn't have a stop sign. If you're coming from the Colchester area it will be on your left. I would definitely recommend Acorn Acres!!

Acorn Acres is the place to be!! It is my family's 5th year being a seasonal camper at Acorn Acres! We would not choose any other campground. The staff is absolutely amazing and treat you as if you are family. Grounds: are well kept, no trash laying around ever. Sites are not right on top of each other. Safety: everyone watches out for everyone; more of a family than just plain neighbors. Events: There is always something fun happening, from Bingo to Craft nights. Kids crafts every Sat morning, pickleball, horseshoes, cornhole, minigolf. Did I mention every weekend there is a theme and food trucks?!?!?!?! YUP!! HONESTLY THANK YOU TO PRISCILLA AND HOWIE AND THE ENTIRE TEAM FOR MAKING THIS THE EBST CAMPGRONG IN CT!!

Old fashion family camping at its best. Great place to get back to family fun and activities. The staff is friendly and helpful. Fellow campers are so friendly and welcoming. I drove up from Florida and spent the whole season here. I'm definitely coming back next season. One of my favorite events was the neon lite party. Great DJ, glow painting, ice cream floats so much fun.

My family of 5 stayed at Acorn Acres for the first time this weekend. I can’t say enough about how kind and welcoming the staff was. From the time we showed up Friday to the time we left Sunday they were so helpful. The gentleman in the office escorted us to our site because it was our first time there. The bathrooms were always so clean! They had so much for our kids and dogs they were always busy. The pond was so relaxing and the kids loved paddle boarding and paddle boating. We love it so much we canceled another weekend at a different campground and booked here.

I stayed at Acorn Acres for 6 days last week and was so immediately impressed with the friendly, professional staff. They wasted no time getting me into my spot and checked on me a little while later. Everything at the campground was perfect, we walked most of the property discussing the numerous amenities, pool, lake, kayaks, tennis, miniature golf. The proximity to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun was great as we were meeting friends for dinner. We will return and imagine the campground will be full of life, we were very late in the season. So many people store their campers there year round is a testament of how much they enjoy the property. TY Acorn Acres, we had a great time.
