We had a great time here! I tried to swim but the water was freezing lol people were very nice the site was great. There were ants where the hookups are got a few bites but all was great. You can tell they have long stay patrons, but all are very tidy. Can't wait to go back.

Very nice rv park. All the the rv sites are packed gravel with concrete side rails and a concrete pad with picnic table. Each site has a fire ring. Some sites are pull in basically for motor homes, some sites are pull thru or back in. There is a small water park with 2 slides and a pirate ship mast that fills with water and dumps. The pool has a slanted walk in on one end and steps on the other end. It goes to 4 foot deep. The pool deck has chairs, lounges, gas grill and an covered area to reserve and use. There is a small gym, a laundry area, a community room with large tv, fooseball, a couple other activity items. Several tables with chairs. There is a volleyball area, a basketball goal, horseshoe area, cornhole boards and dog park and a couple other ares for activities. The grounds are well maintained. All the roadways are paved. If there is a downside to anything here it is that there is no shade what so ever for camp sites and the you have to drive a short distance on dirt road. If you come in off of u.s. hiway 98 the paved road ends with no warning signs. All of the people I have come in contact with are very friendly.

I arrived late, after the office was closed, for a 2 night stay. I was late because of a mechanical issue that threatened to cause me to have to cancel the trip. I called Ahoy, explained the situation to cathy, and she was very understanding and helpful. Then, The first night, we experienced an electrical problem with the resort’s power pedestal - the 50amp breaker decided to fail at about 10pm, so first thing the next morning I went to the office to talk about the problem. The maintenance manager, Billy, was in the office and knew immediately what happened. He went to my site, changed the breaker and we had AC in the coach again. Cathy and billy were friendly and approachable and Billy is fun to talk politics with! These folks quickly took care of the problem and gave me a 10% discount for the inconvenience and warm night without AC. I read a 2 star review from another camper, and I experienced none of the issues that were reported. Im not saying that didn’t happen, but I think it is an exception. I experienced nothing but quick, friendly, capable and professional customer service. I highly recommend Ahoy rv resort!

The staff and owners are wonderful, very accommodating and always willing to help. We've stayed here three times and have always found it a welcoming place to stay. The sites are level with plenty of room. There's lots of activities. And the park is in a great location for easy access the area's points of interest.

We came for a month n stayed for 2/12. We absolutely love this place. The staff ( Cassie, Ally, John) were awesome. Sonya did a fantastic job with activities. Owners Chris n Kelly have done an amazing job. The facilities are Great. It’s very much a community oriented environment. We met so many new friends that will always be with us. We will definitely be back again this winter.

This is an avoid at all costs type of place. It is a high school nightmare dressed as an Rv place. There is not much to do besides drink yourself silly and sit around the clubhouse talking about one another. The staff is very proficient at that but not much else. I’m not sure how they got their rating .. either bought it or the people giving it were never there. The pool is not heated so worthless. No hot tub no sauna. The Snob knob clubhouse has bathrooms but they seem a lot like a locker room not a luxury anything. Staff is complacent at best but rude and lazy fits more. The “lake” is a man made sinkhole mud puddle. Everybit of the place stinks like wet dog pee. The owners are wealthy as can be seen by their boat they use as a lawn ornament but refuse to pay anyone a livable wage to escape taxes. Just steer clear of this dump. I’ve heard sugar sands is much better but honestly anywhere is better than here.

My husband and I decided to spend our second week of vacation in this, new to us, unfamiliar park as our first week was spent in a park where no one connects. We look for people to interact with and share stories and adventures with. We absolutely found that at Ahoy. The minute we met Kelly, we knew our next week would be different. The first day we were there, three young boys asked us to fish with them. We have grands that we were missing, so we were delighted to go buy worms and trade a few for their marshmallows😂 and see what happened. We caught no fish but what we did do was bond with the little ones who did. Next day, we pulled out my craft totes and began a party with 7 of the kids in the park. We made beaded wind chimes from 11:30 am- 4:30pm. Kids came and went all day long. We loved watching them create their own craft. For the rest of the week we were known as “The most awesome grandparents” and continued to share gifts and candy with these adorable kids. We encourage any grandparents who stay in this park, to take the time to play with the kids. The moms have their hands full with smaller infants and sure could use the help. We never allowed them in our RV. They were welcome on our patio any time. This was not the interaction we expected, but it was the BEST and far beyond what we imagined. We have managed a Senior RV park in Colorado for the past five years. Having children around was a welcomed sight. We plan to bring two of our grandchildren on their Fall break. Yes the park is super clean and great amenities, but if you don’t get out of your RV and invest yourself into the lives of others, you will totally miss the point of RV-ing in the first place. Thanks to Chris and Kelly for placing us right up front where we asked to be, so this could happen. Thanks to Jeremy for all the hard work you do to assist the managers in causing this park to thrive.God bless all of you as you stay in community and share your families with those who might just be missing their own grandchildren an awful lot. ❤️🙏

Ahoy is not one of your grandiose, over-hyped, over priced mega resorts. What you get is a quaint campground with good amenities and a really laid back vibe. Clean and well maintained, Ahoy is in a prime location -- only 5 minutes from OWA.

We had planned on staying a week, then a month and 3 months later we were there through winter. Our families first long term stay but the kids absolutely loved this place. My son loved being able to ride his bike and fish. We appreciated the gym and all the amenities. The staff was wonderful and kind, everything was clean and beautiful and it reminded us how easy it is to make somewhere feel like home.
