10/29/25 Great Stay at Amarillo KOA We had a great stay at the Amarillo KOA! The campground was clean, well maintained, and easy to access from the highway. The sites were level and spacious, and the hookups were easy to access — perfect for our Class A motorhome and tow vehicle. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made check-in quick and simple — a great place to rest and recharge. One thing to note: there’s a train that goes by nearby, so if you’re a light sleeper like me, consider that your early alarm around 4:30 a.m. Other than that, it’s a great KOA and we’d definitely stay here again!

Easy overnight stay on long trip. Hosts were good, site level and easy to leave town vehicle hooked up. Nice amenities with grass for dog, dog park (didn’t use), decent store. Food truck on site, but didn’t use it - open for dinner and breakfast. It is next to a small airport and there are trains closely but we use white noise machine at night so didn’t affect us. Good stay, everything worked well, decent price.

The best KOA we have stayed at so far. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The facilities, laundry, restrooms are clean and well maintained. There is a very well stocked shop and a nice lounge area with fireplace. There is a permanent food truck on site selling good meals although nothing Gluten Free. I highly recommend this KOA park.

I want to say this is one of the best KOA’s around. When you have had a long drive and all you want to do is eat and sleep you should stop here. The camp is so quiet in the evening and relaxing. If you need a shower, they are SO CLEAN . And don’t forget to make sure all your clothes are clean they have 6 washers and 3 large drys that are very clean. When it’s nice and the time of year they have a pool. they also have kid park. When your dog needs a run they have 2 dog runs. The best thing I can say about this KOA is they have the BEST HOST and STAFF ever. They work hard every day to make sure you have the best experience you could ever want.

Very nice park with quick check-in, helpful escort to my site, very nice hook-ups, level pull-through sites. Located next to the airport, but still nice and quiet. Excellent temps while we stayed, but few trees so would be hot in the summer. Loved the on-site food truck, and the artwork around the store and entrance.

Nice, convenient spots for camper vans near store and restroom. Much more enjoyable than getting surrounded by fifth wheels full of kids. 😉 Cleanest restrooms I've ever seen at a KOA and we've been cross country three times. Beautiful sunrises to boot!

I'm only here for the night. Seems like a nice place. My kids did enjoy the swings and monkey bars. Considering the playground has some metal equipment, having a means of shading it might be a good idea. There's a shaded area in the adjacent dog area after all.

We only stayed one night, but the campground is very well maintained, the bathrooms were VERY clean, and well maintained. Has a nice playground, and there is plenty of room in the campsites. The roads are dirt, and I could see it being dusty on a windy day, but in this part of Texas, dust is just part of the deal, so I’m not faulting the KOA for that. We stay in a lot of KOA’s and for a Journey, this one is definitely worth returning to.
