Stayed in my daughter's and sil's camper. They have a full- seasonal site. Lots of amenities and gated, with a curfew. Summers are great for kids with a gameroom for rainy days, both a lake with blowup slide and a heated pool. Docks if you have a pontoon, or bring kayak/canoe and fishing. Family-centric, lots of bike riders, golf carts, pet friendly, bingo, arts and crafts, chili cookoff, loads of other fun activities. Stay for the season, weekend, or a night. Tent sites and full utility sites.

Probably our favorite campgrounds. Helps it's only a hour from home. Awesome staff. Great sites. Especially on the lake. Plenty to do for all ages from fishing on the lake, to the pool and lazy river. Keeping the kids busy. Highly recommend this campground

First the good: the staff I interacted with were kind and helpful. The inflatables at the lake were fun and it was a good experience. Now the bad: if you're looking for a camping experience, this is not the place. It's not loaded with the scenery of nature and hiking trails, but drunk people on golf carts honking their horns and blaring music into the night. The version on "camping" at this place is more akin to a drunken carnival by the lakeside. Apart from that, the spots are crammed on top of each other with an extra tall fire ring so you can't actually enjoy the fire. Our site was by the "dam", which I was told was an excellent spot. The "dam" was leaving a lot to be desired, but the worst part is that they put a stop sign across from the site which makes it rather challenging to back a camper into. The guy next to me ended up hitting the sign, but unfortunately they put another one there by the next day. Not a lot of thought went into that, but I digress. Overall: if you're looking for a traditional family friendly camping experience, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a party atmosphere with the likes of setting up a camper in a populated city, then this is the place for you. It's NOT family friendly in the slightest. For nearly 4 times the cost of a state park, this was a joke. 2 stars for the staff and lake inflatables.

This place is the greatest ! We just left after a week . The pool is amazing here . The store front and employees are top notch here . Dan stayed open 30 min after closing time to assist everyone in the store ? The cabins are spot on , great family vacation spot. The rental golf cart was the perfect touch . The obstacles in the lake are very large and the water is deep . The lake was clean and the beach is well kept . We will be back hopefully before the end of the year . This will be a yearly visit no doubt !

I cant give this place a good review. 1st granted there was a bad storm 45 minutes earlier, my wife was cooking on the campground supplied Weber grill. About 15 minting into cooking, the propane ran out. Called the office and got some snooty girl and asked her to send someone over to fill.the tank. She says and I quote " We will.have someone over as soon as we access storm damage" I let her know that our food was half cooked and need a tank. She says like I said before as soon as we access the storm damage. Very rude and they have to have at least 20 people working and they can't free someone up to fill.a tank when it should be filled on our arrival. Then after about 10 minutes a guy pulls up on a golf cart and told my wife the tank isn't empty. She told him then why don't it light. He says fine I'll go get a tank. Low and behold he puts the filled tank on and it lights. We have 2 dogs and there was dog poop that we picked up that wasn't our dogs in about 5 different places. The speed limit is 5mph. My 24 year old son and his fiance rented a golf cart. Some employee yelled that he was going too fast. Every cart in this place goes over 5mph. If this is what they want make everyone with their own cart and rentals to have a governor put on them for 5mph. The biggest persons breaking this rule is their employees. Shouldn't you lead by example. Some of the employees had to be going 15 to 20 mph.

Overall I liked this campground , it was clean- the bathrooms were fine but the seasonal campers detract from the experience. Many of them have junk all over their area, Tacky looking items like plastic ornaments, overloaded with furniture etc. but the worst is the endless stream of golf carts, they drive in circles- all day- every day.

Yes. Most of the park is seasonal, but it’s a large park. And very clean/tidy. Plenty of large non-seasonal sites, lots of grass, with/without patios. We stayed overnight w/36’ Georgetown and a toad and extra car - plenty of room - easy to level. Lots of walking space, which makes our dogs happy. Staff very friendly. A keeper spot.

We were thrilled to find out this KOA is open in January, as we were in a pinch needing a place to stay with hook ups. They were very friendly when we called for info. They had everything all set up and super easy to pick your spot and settle in. Very accommodating and friendly. Will definitely stay here again when we are in the area!

Our pipes in our cabin froze (in December) and the team went above and beyond to correct the issue for us! They did everything possible to correct it, and they were super professional and nice when I first reported it, and they got on it ASAP and offered a discount for our inconvenience without me having to ask or complain. When the issue couldn’t be resolved in a timely manner, they gave us an upgrade in another cabin and comped our stay. The whole team was great and even though the situation sucked and inconvenienced us, they were obviously doing everything they could possibly do which included digging under the cabin, using heaters on the pipes, and a camera to diagnose the problem. This was our second stay here and we will absolutely be returning!

Great place to get away for the weekend from Chicago. The amenities are good for kids and I love that it's open year-round. My only small complaint is the golf cart traffic on the weekends during the summer.
