Aransas Bay RV Resort

Overview

Aransas Bay RV Resort offers a premier coastal experience in the heart of Aransas Pass, Texas. This gated community provides a secure and quiet environment for travelers looking to enjoy the Texas Gulf Coast without the noise of the main tourist strips. The park is designed with a modern resort aesthetic, featuring wide paved roads and meticulously maintained grounds that cater to both short-term vacationers and long-term residents looking for a high-end basecamp.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in the area known as the Shrimp Capital of Texas, the resort is perfectly positioned for those who love the water. It is just a short drive from the ferry to Port Aransas and the sandy shores of Mustang Island. The surrounding area of Aransas Pass is known for its coastal charm, offering easy access to local seafood markets, boat launches, and the scenic Conn Brown Harbor for beautiful sunset views over the bay.

Amenities & Park Features

The facility is built for convenience and comfort, offering full hookup sites with level concrete pads that are big-rig friendly. Guests have access to a heated swimming pool and a spacious clubhouse that serves as the social hub of the park. Additional amenities include a modern fitness center, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a dedicated fenced dog park for those traveling with four-legged companions who need room to run.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Anglers will find themselves in paradise, as the area is world-renowned for shallow-water fishing and kayaking in the flats. Nature lovers can visit the nearby Aransas National Wildlife Refuge to spot rare birds or explore the historic downtown area of Rockport. For a day of sun and surf, the Rockport Beach—Texas' first Blue Wave Beach—is only a few minutes away, providing a clean and family-friendly environment for swimming.

Who This Park Is Best For

This resort is an ideal match for Winter Texans seeking a warm, community-oriented home for the season. Really convenient location, mostly grass and gravel pads but they are level and power and water is good. It's not an RV Resort, seems like it's perfect for those who work nearby or are on fixed incomes. Our stay was pleasant and everything worked just fine. No riff raff, just cheap living and good location.

This park has been home for 5 years. The park is super clean and safe. The manager Cathleen is extremely responsive and efficient. If there’s an issue, it is taken care of. I never worried about leaving things outside. It’s close to all the amenities and is a great place to stay. You won’t be disappointed.

We moved here during the pandemic and found a welcoming community in a perfect location. The park is well off the road in a rural setting and well maintained and beautifully landscaped with professional maintenance. Our on site manager Cathleen has promptly responded to what minor issues we've had. We are close to 5 small towns and the ferry. There is always something to do. It's great for short visits and full timers that want to winter or stay year round. We love it.

If I could give negative stars for this rv “resort”, I would. I called Aransas Bay RV resort and talked to a real nice gentleman named Monty. He said he would need a $100 deposit for the last months electric service, and that deposit would also serve to hold the spot for us. Monty said that if we didn’t use all the $100 that it would be refunded. Well, our plan changed less than 12 hours after the reservation so I called to request my refund. The lady I spoke with the next day said she would do what she could to get me my deposit back and that she would call and let me know. It’s now been three days since and my wife finally called her again and was told there would be no refund at all per their policies that are posted on their website. No where on the website does it say that a deposit for unused electric would not be refunded. I am out $100.00 because these people want to keep money for no services. Monty however was a wonderful gentleman, and this is only intended for who I assume is the manager of said establishment. Make sure you read all reviews before considering this place to stay.

Lots of shade from the sun, perhaps the best host I've ever met,, Kathleen. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable.

Currently a full timer here now for over a year and I love it! Management and office staff are so amazing and helpful! I'm so glad my family found this place! It's nice to meet with long term guests and those just visiting the park. There is a salt water pool, laundry room, and shower facilities.

Clean place and spacious lots. Organized and so peaceful and quiet. Closed to everywhere in Aransas Pass town. Movie theater and American southern style buffet just within walking distance right across the street. 2 blocks from the main highway. Friendly property manager and maintenance guy. Highly recommended!!!!

It was a sleepy kind of park, little movement by people or even people being outside at anytime of the day. I was surprised to see Oleanders(highly poisonous to dogs, humans, etc.) right next to our site bc we have dogs and kids. No, I don't allow them to eat off the ground or trees, but this was alarming to me. When I mentioned it to the "managers" they were very nonchalant about it and joked and said, "don't eat the leaves." The pool was disappointing & to my 10 yo.on hot day, luke warm, the water coming into it was not cool. Overall, the park was nicely put together with gravel and grass, even cement and spacious. Bathhouse was closed due to COVID-19 8/13-8/17/2021

Cathleen was absolutely terrible when we stayed there. What was really bad was how they treated the people after the hurricane. Do yourself a favor and go down to big fish like we did.
