Literally days before we were supposed to camp. My son broke his leg in a bad UTV accident. We were stuck in a hospital and had the paperwork to prove it. The lady I spoke to was rude and inconsiderate and would not refund our money. We will never camp here.

Wonderful stay! We rented a beautiful cabin! It was so clean we thought we were the first to stay there since its renovation, but it has been used all summer! I always bring a few kitchen supplies with me but they had everything I needed and more! Camp store has everything, including an extremely helpful and friendly owner. Fishing docks and lake literally a minute walk. The campground was full of friendly people that followed the quiet hours. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Small campground, we were here just for the fireman’s picnic at the park and it was the closest. Price was fair, nothing to do unless you want to fish and swim in the lake. Not much for bugs. The electric had no breakers so you plug in and be careful. Also was very close to the ground. Water line was also within a foot of the ground. That’s the only bad part. Used to be a KOA years ago but now it’s just a trailer park. Some mobile homes and a few permanent camper sites. All in all the park was very quiet the way I like it.

We spent one evening at this campground, and it was a great experience. We were able to get a spot for the evening (mid week) and the site was level and had full hook ups that we needed. Bathrooms and showers were clean and maintained. Staff was welcoming and good people to be around. Would definitely stay again!

Ah, Arbor Vitae Campground! Nestled near the quaint town of Minocqua, Wisconsin, it felt like a chapter right out of a camping novella for our two-month RV sojourn. As first-timers in an RV, the anticipation was high, but the campground exceeded expectations. **What I Like:** - Versatile Sections: There's a spot for everyone, whether you're in a tent, a trailer, or a big RV. - Sue & David: These two run the front office and are super friendly. It feels like visiting old friends. - RV Setup: Our spot had 50amp power, sewer, trash and water for a single price. Easy to drive in, especially with its location near I-70. - Quiet Nights: After a fun day, the nights are calm. The sky is full of stars, and most nights are clear. - Local Fun: Played a card game with local folks and felt right at home. **What You Might Not Like:** - Closing Time: The place shuts down by mid-October because it gets too cold. - Slow Town: Driving in Minocqua means going around 35 mph. - Far-off Stores: If you need Target or Costco, they're a 2-hour drive away. To wrap it up, Arbor Vitae Campground is a special spot. Quiet nights, starry skies, and a friendly vibe. Even if there's no big store close by, the peace and nature make up for it. Can't wait for next season!

Nice campground! Could use some grounds maintenance, but very friendly owners. I did run into this guy crossing the bridge though.

Friendly campers, quite at night. Beautiful setting with the trees and lake. Docks available on Arbor Vitae Lake. We rented a cabin and looking at the outside we were nervous. Looks run down, paint peeling, spider webs everywhere. The inside was cleaned better than most motels I stayed at. That was all I needed to stay. Looked to be renovated not long ago. The only complaint was chairs for table needs to be replaced. Very stained. The cook stove exhaust gave me a headache. My husband said he didn't notice, I might just be sensitive to it. And lastly couldn't open all the windows. They needed cleaning and fixing bad. Screen ripped in the bathroom window. Other than those few things wonderful stay. I was relaxed and there is a creek running through the campground with ducks. They sell duck food in the store/office so make sure you get some.(Don't use bread or other food as it will make them sick) My son enjoyed the duck very much.
