The condition of the RV I rented was not what I expected. It was ran down, soft, weak floors and very small. The campground is basically bare, it does have some amenities but I wasn't at all pleased with this place. Just seems, looks and feels like a trailer park for either pp, that live there or for contractors living there while working out of town. Didn't really seem, look or feel like a campground. A person in ,you party had never been to a KOA and she said based on the condition of this one, she will probably never visit a KOA again. I have been to several nicer places, just regular campgrounds are nicer than this " KOA Holiday " I do not recommend

We stayed for a few days based off information we saw on KOA app. Pretty misleading on app to the actual amenities and campground itself. App stated pool was open until Oct 11 & we got in Sept 15 & pool was closed and empty already. Playground was pretty small and not much to it. They did have a bike run for kids to ride bikes but all the ones provided were broken. Luckily we brought our kids bikes so they could ride around. There was supposed to be a mini golf set up but there wasn't one there. Then right beside "playground" they were letting RVs park & stay at a non hook up site. Just weird to have someone staying right by playground and bike run in a field. We booked at this campsite mainly for our kids to have fun & were pretty disappointed. The camp sites themselves on upper half were clean but super close together with absolutely no privacy. Campsites on lower half did not look welcoming or clean. Edit: not sure how we missed a whole mini golf set up unless it was down on lower half of campground where we weren't staying. About RVs being parked next to playground I wasn't speaking about ones being stored back at end of lot with wooden stage. There is a dried dirt patch of ground literally right behind playground where RV was parked, slides out and people sitting outside camping. Then directly behind the store (on left hand side of playground) were 2 more RVs parked, slides out and people staying.

Patty the manager is outstanding, as is her assistant. We had a couple issues with our motor home and Patty was more than helpful getting me the right person i needed to get some help. The campground she runs is also outstanding. Kid and pet friendly, plenty for the kids to do. Miniature golf, a huge playground and a very nice and clean pool . My grandkids loved it there. We do a lot of camping and KOA is in our top 10 places to go to.

Great staff, wonderful location and super clean pool. Lots of fun family activities, truly a very nice place. For sure we will stay here again if we find ourselves in this neck of the woods. Attended Kid Rock festival Boyd County fairgrounds…. Super close, beautiful here 👍 We had Camper, but they had cute cottages to stay here as well 😊⛺️

This is a cozy place. After staying here in a cabin and an RV on 2 different stays, there’s a lot to say about how nice and thoughtful it is of the hosts to provide a kitchen, bathroom and linens on the bed when you arrive with two dogs. Some of the KOA‘s don’t seem to consider this for those traveling with their best friends. So, this is encouragement to all! You can travel with your pets and be respected too! So, get out there with faith that your pets won’t reduce your prospects of better provisions and find KOA’s that will match this one!

Can't say enough good things about the dedicated & nice people @ this KOA. The were extremely helpful & went above & beyond getting us in & out of their campground. We arrived just before the 2nd of the 3 snowstorm cluster & left just before the 3rd storm in 2024. Thanks so much for all your gracious & kind help.

I can’t say enough good things about the Ashland/Huntington KOA. After spending the holidays in New England with family, we and our friends headed south and traveled into approaching bad weather, we made last minute reservations to get our 2 motorhomes off the road before an unusual Kentucky snowstorm. The Ashland /Huntington KOA manager called to find out our arrival time, assured us our sites would be cleared and staff would be ready to assist us. After 2 snowbound days the sun came out as did the sand, salt and shovels. Dave helped clear all our wheels and got us on the road again. The kind and generous support of the manager and staff of the Ashland KOA was beyond any expectation and we are deeply appreciative. It was beautiful in Ashland in the winter and I’m sure it is just as beautiful in every way the rest of the year too. Thanks and blessings to everyone at Ashland KOA ❤️

We stayed here on 1 of our travel days which meant we needed rest. It was a very active say/ night for families and kids and they places us on the lower level away from the action. It was so quiet and peaceful. We got great sleep and the only noise we heard was the campground sucks doing their 1 round of night patrol. While we didn't stay long and didn't have kids you could tell the upper level was popular and had endless activities for kids. Very friendly staff and helpful. It's easy access off the interstate but note that it is about 12 minutes from gas/ services. Plan right and this is a great spot in a very quiet area to rest up.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. We came for an overnight on our way home and it was a very convenient location. Our site was difficult to get into although it was a pull-through. The driveway by the end site was narrow and had a very sharp turn. It was not level side-to-side so we used our leveling bricks. The bathroom showers had plenty of hot water. I suggest an upgrade with new shower stalls, more hooks and/or a bench to set things down. The stall I used had tape on the floor of the shower.
