We've been going to Big Al's Barefoot Bay for 5 years straight now in our motorhome and boat and have enjoyed it very much and exspeasuly since they have done all the remodeling and adding new things that the previous owners said they were going to do but never did. Good fishing and now great food and entertainment to enjoy. Looking forward to seeing you the full month April as we always do. Keep up the good work. Bert and Donna Tisserand

My wife and I stayed in the RV resort, space #55, which was towards the west end of the resort. Long sites so plenty of room for our 40' 5th wheel and truck. Very clean and well kept. Positioned on the lake so you can walk to the shore to fish, boat, swim, etc. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. Plenty of hot water. Community room had a sofa, large TV and coffee maker. Next door was the Castaways Bar and Grill. They had a special Valentine's Day menu, which my wife and I enjoyed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plan to return in the summer.

WOW— what a wonderful time we had at Big Al’s Barefoot Bay Resort! We stayed in a beautiful cabin, which has recently been remodeled, updated, and tastefully decorated. Not only that, but the cabin was well stocked with a Keurig, plenty of coffee pods to choose from, and all the basic daily essentials. We also enjoyed the casual, country western vibe at Castaways Bar and Grill, not to mention the live music and dancing on Saturday night! To top it all off, the food was amazing— all fresh ingredients and made from scratch. Thank you Sondra and Alan. You are wonderful hosts and we truly appreciate your hospitality!

I’ve been here many times in the past, however, if you haven’t been here in a year or more, or ever, you gotta go check it out. New owners Alan & Sondra have done an amazing job of “rebuilding” everything. A great RV campground with brand new roads, concrete pads, and facilities along with a first class bar & grill with great service and atmosphere. If you come once, you’ll come back over and over and it will only get better!

Absolutely Amazing Experience! We had an incredible time at this lakeside restaurant. The view alone is worth the visit — peaceful water, beautiful sunset, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay all evening. The food was outstanding — everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. You can tell they really care about quality and service here. Perfect spot for a family dinner, date night, or just hanging out with friends by the water. We’ll definitely be back soon!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely loved our stay at Big Al’s Barefoot Bay! The lakefront sites are gorgeous — clean concrete pads, full hookups, and stunning views of Lake Bob Sandlin. Staff was friendly, and the whole park had a laid-back, welcoming vibe. Met the owners, they were very kind and helpful. We grabbed dinner on the deck at the on-site restaurant, and enjoyed peaceful mornings by the water. The resort is well-maintained, kid- and pet-friendly, and has everything from a general store to a marina, laundry mat, Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing, scenic RV getaway with all the amenities. We’ll definitely be back!

Big Al's new amenities are top notch !. The bathrooms/showers are large, very clean and awesome. After a day on the lake it is refreshing to get into a roomy, hot shower. The laundry room has plenty of excellent easy to use washers and dryers for a reasonable price. The very affordable, level, peaceful RV spots have beautiful views of the lake. The staff are so friendly, and make you feel like an important part of the family. Wonderful home away from home. Doesn't get any better than Big Al's Barefoot Marina !!

This was my first time here and this place is wonderful, very clean and well maintained. There is some construction going on but not a problem for me. The staff when we arrived showed right up and welcomed us. Shay was very nice and polite. Great job Shay. We enjoyed the bands over the weekend. It’s rained a couple of hours but we sat on the back porch and enjoyed playing dominoes. The wait staff!! Kudos to Tanya the best waitress, I give her 10 stars. Just so friendly and very nice lady. She was very busy but she was very quick getting our orders. We watched the Longhorns play on the big screens. They are making many improvements and this place is going to be our #1 place to come camping. I wish you guys lots of success. Definitely worth 5 STARS ❤️❤️

We stayed in the RV park for the weekend. The spaces are very close and prices seemed higher than most similar "resorts". In addition to the high prices they also required a $100.00 deposit for the campsite. I have no idea what this could be for, but again outside the normal. We had an issue with needing to launch our boat at 6am on the morning of a tournament and the gate to the ramp was locked and no one around to let us launch. Tried all the numbers on the door for emergency contacts and no answer. We asked later in the day if it would have been possible to get a code to get in the locked gate to launch and the answer was no... The code is for wet slip users only and not for ramp users. If you're coming to Bob Sandlin to fish a tournament, I would recommend staying elsewhere unless you're planning to launch after 7am!
