Bear Lake campground was the site of our daughter’s wedding this past weekend, 09/20/2025, and it was absolutely perfect! The hall had a rustic look and comfortably held our 190 guests. The ceremony took place on the back lawn over looking the lake, which they closed to the public. We got SO many compliments on the food, which there was PLENTY for all. Sarah, Bob and the staff went out of their way to ensure the day was tress-free and perfect. We had about 18-19 families who camped the weekend as well and all enjoyed the campgrounds. We would highly recommend this budget-friendly venue for your next event!

I visited Bear Lake Campground on 3 separate weekends this summer, and each visit was fantastic. The grounds are clean, tidy, and well-maintained, and the owners go above and beyond to create a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Almost every weekend, there are social activities or events—many featuring live bands or DJs. My favorite weekends were the 4th of July, which included an amazing fireworks show, and the end-of-summer celebration, including the corn roast, glow party, and craft fair. All were well organized and a great time for campers of all ages. The campground features a cute cash-only tiki bar by the lake, plus a main bar and restaurant with affordable drinks and a superb Friday night fish fry. I had the three-cheese haddock with steamed veggies—complete with salad bar and soup—and would give it 4 stars. There’s also Bailee’s Bloody’s bar cart that drives around the campground most weekend mornings offering homemade Bloody Mary’s - what a treat! Swimming is highlight at Bear Lake, with two beach areas: one grassy & one sandy, both spacious enough for a nice afternoon by the lake. The Camp Store is another perk, offering ice cream, camping essentials, fun merch, and kayak rentals. What truly stands out is how respectful the campers are and how well the owners maintain the property. It’s clear they care deeply about the guest experience. I can’t recommend Bear Lake Campground enough—whether you’re looking for lake access, social events, or a family-friendly atmosphere, this is the spot for you!

Our family stayed in the lake front double site for 2 days. Every single employee we met from check in/ bar and grill was friendly and accommodating. The campground itself was very clean and quiet during our stay (Sunday-Tues). We had fantastic weather and such an amazing time. We will definitely be back!! Highly recommend!

It was okay. Mini golf was runned down and didn't use this. They had an porta potty that was so full it smelled like death. The basketball court doesn't have lines and isn't kept up with. The sand by the volleyball game area was gross and the sand doesn't feel like it was ever sifted. Horse shoe area was great. The tiki bar wasn't open and when I called in June to book this camp ground I was told by a younger lady that everything will be open and ready to go. Went to the bar and had to sit almost 1.5 hours to get food because something was wrong with fryer basket. I just wish someone would have told us because I would have went somewhere else. When I told them I food was lukewarm the response I got was on quote "they had two huge orders and we just had to wait until the fryers were done. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely not. This experience wasn't great and their other great options out their. Sorry for the long post. I was their site 208 and stayed 7/7 to 7/11 but left a day early due to what was stated above.

Our first time camping here for Blatz fest weekend with friends. Not a bad campground overall. Bathroom shower ate my $ and didn't give me water :( Office lady was very helpful getting us checked in. Very sad part is COMUNICATION was horrible both Friday night and Saturday. They were none of SMELT fish left and hours later was told and that if I ordered something else it'll be another 40 mins after 2 hours of waiting. After we placed our order, salads, cheese and 1 kind of soup was completely empty. Cucumber and tomatos had like 3 pieces left...Saturday no one knew where the sign up table was. No one running the table knew what time the sat event starts. I also found out that this placed has been running by new owners for 2 years now. I would think they got them issues resolved by now or let's hope that thise issues are fixed.

Excellent experience! Not one complaint. Kids did get swimmers itch, but they were playing in mucky part of the beach where you might expect that thing.. And the campground certainly can't help that.

Lakefront campsite was awesome, would definitely book again! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5: We ate at the bar/restaurant Friday night after setting up and I was not impressed. We were told after ordering that it would be an hour wait..... after about 50 minutes the food arrived and was horrible. Iordered a burger with bacon, mushrooms, onions and chase cheese, no bun. Took one bit of the burger patty and couldn't bring myself to take another one. The only thing edible on my plate was the bacon off my burger. Hard to believe they get as busy as they do serving sub-par food.

Love their Friday Fish Fry broiled fish selection. I usually order to go and eat at a local park. The fish has always been tender and moist and their salads fresh. Well worth the few extra dollars!
