Beaver Lake - COE/Lost Bridge North
Overview
Lost Bridge North is a Corps of Engineers (COE) campground situated on the limestone-bluff shores of Beaver Lake. This park offers a tranquil escape into the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas, providing a scenic backdrop for campers seeking a connection with nature. Known for its clear waters and lush forest canopy, the park serves as a well-maintained facility where the focus remains on the quiet beauty of the White River basin rather than a luxury resort experience.
Location & Surroundings
Located in Garfield, Arkansas, the park sits on the northern reaches of Beaver Lake. The terrain is characterized by rolling hills and dense woodlands, offering plenty of shade for most sites. The clear blue water is the primary draw, surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs and secluded coves. Its position provides a peaceful atmosphere away from the busier southern ends of the lake while remaining easily accessible to regional landmarks and local hubs.
Amenities & Park Features
The campground provides electric hookups at many sites, though it retains a rustic feel without full sewer connections at individual pads. Visitors have access to modern shower facilities and flush toilets, ensuring comfort during multi-day stays. A central dump station and potable water spigots are available for RVers. For those looking to get on the water, the park features a paved boat ramp and a dedicated swimming beach for cooling off during the humid summer months.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor recreation is the highlight here, with excellent opportunities for striper and bass fishing right from the shore or by boat. Hikers can explore several nearby trails that offer panoramic views of the lake and local wildlife. History enthusiasts are a short drive from Pea Ridge National Military Park, which preserves a significant Civil War battlefield. Additionally, the vibrant shopping and dining of Bentonville are within a reasonable driving distance for a day trip.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an ideal match for nature-focused RVers who prioritize scenic views and water access over high-end resort amenities. It is a favorite for families looking for a classic camping experience and anglers who want quick access to some of the region's best fishing holes. If you enjoy a quiet, lakeside atmosphere and a traditional state-park style setup, Lost Bridge North is a perfect Ozark mountain destination for your next trip.

Beautiful COE campground on Beaver Lake. We weren't able to book a waterfront site but the day we came in, Kathy, the manager called and told us of one coming up so we were able to have waterfront for the remaining days. The manager was very nice and helpful with area information. The sites were in need of a little maintenance but it was government shutdown so we were fortunate they were open at all. Nice quiet campground.

Not a fan of the vault toilets but overall the park is nice. The price is reasonable, and the location is fantastic. But better than all of that was the customer service when arriving for check-in. It was exceptional.

We camped for 4 days here. We were on the quiet side and that was very nice. The camp hosts were extremely helpful and kind. The boat launch has enough room to launch 2 boats at the same time so that does help on how long it takes to get in.

It's beautiful . Limited water supply. Bath house up by main gate with two showers for entire park one was broken but usable. (Ladies) The lake was really clear and beautiful. It did however storm or rain almost every day we were there. Lol
Adventures NOT Lost!
We are used to primitive camping, so we were not used to all the dogs continually barking. But it was a really neat place on a hill, so everyone got a view of the lake. Very clean and staff was super friendly!

I came for the day to hike the trails! $5 day fee. Park Ranger stopped to help at the entrance and told me where the trail heads were located. The trail heads were clearly located. The trail is not so cleary blazed or marked on our first stop, The Silver Beaver trail. The large rocks and the lake were the highlights for my children and myself. The second trail, the Lost Bridge trail, was clearly marked for the length we went, which was only a short section because we were short on time.

Camped here 10-29 and 30. Waiting out wind. Great helpful hosts. Saw us filling water and gave us a spot that we could fit in. (73.ft long). Very hilly, steep and curvy roads but if you take it easy not bad. Beautiful area and not a lot of drive through traffic.

Purchased a day pass on July 4th just so I could hike the 6.6 mile loop that is the Lost Bridge North trail. This trail is not well marked or well maintained. Lots of debris on the trail and many moments where I had to question my next move — I had to stop altogether just after the park entrance, the trail became nonexistent. 3 stars for the beautiful lake front part of the trail.
