My wife & I bought a Motor coach and this was our maiden trip. When I made the reservation to stay here I did not request full hook ups. I assumed if we had power & water we were good. It was a very busy weekend for them but they found a way to accommodate all our needs. Very friendly staff and we will stay there again.

We love camping here the spots are very nice and roomy. Shower house is nice and everyone that works there is also nice and helpful. We also like that they reached out to us to make sure I stay was good when we had to pull out early due to a scheduling conflict at our house.

The Best Campground in the Black Hills – Big Pine is a Gem! We just returned from an incredible week at Big Pine Campground in Custer, South Dakota, and I can confidently say this is the best campground we’ve ever stayed at! The location is unbeatable—direct access to over 1,400 miles of hiking trails right from the property. Whether you’re into short scenic walks or full-day adventures, you’ll never run out of options. The campground itself is immaculate and peaceful. The sites are well-spaced, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful pines. They offer everything from full hookup RV sites to remote tent camping spots, so every type of camper is covered. If you’re coming with an RV, sites 56 and 51 are the best for full hookups—spacious, level, and tucked into gorgeous scenery. The amenities go above and beyond. They even have a food truck on-site with amazing food, which was such a treat after long days exploring. And the people? Absolutely wonderful—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We’ve been to many campgrounds across the country, and Big Pine stands out by far. It’s quiet, clean, and perfectly located for exploring the Black Hills. This will absolutely be our go-to spot for our yearly trips. If you’re planning a trip to the Black Hills, don’t hesitate—Big Pine Campground is spectacular! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you! We absolutely loved staying at your campground. From the minute we got there, the staff was beyond helpful. The gentleman working helped guide us backing the camper in since we are new to this. His help gave us the confidence to move it on our own to a different campsite at your campground the very next day. Another employee tried to help us while we were giving it a go but we did it on our own! Although, we appreciate him wanting to try and help us. This was our first camping trip with our camper and your campsite will always be remembered and we will plan on returning! All the staff there was so friendly and nice! Thank you again.

Our spot 49 was perfect for us with water and electric (Some sites have sewer) The dump station is easy to get to and very clean with a hose provided. The grounds are well kept. The name Big Pine is appropriate with most of the spots having trees but none that encumber awnings . The facilites of laundry and shower houses and game room are all well kept and open for use. The staff is beyond cordial and attentive. Ordering wood and having it delivered directly to the campsite was a bonus!! We will be back to Big Pine when we are in the area.
