We never saw or spoke to the onsite staff but facility ran clean and smoothly. It was quiet and well maintained with excellent facilities available. Close to town and not crowded which we appreciated. Price seemed high but thats come to be expected in McCall these days unfortunately.

We are traveling in our 5th wheel and it’s our first time in McCall. We arrived without a reservation at 8pm and easily selected space 34 on the end. The rv park is lined with trees and easy to maneuver. We had a table and fire pit/bbq. It was pricey at $68/night IMO but other rv parks were more expensive. We didn’t get to use much of the amenities since we were traveling through. They had a food truck and nice picnic tables. Nice small grassy dog area. There are monthly tenants. The hwy 55 is nearby and not too noisy. Bathrooms were clean. Was a nice stop for a night but next time I think we’ll explore another park.

Camp ground had a lot of limbs laying around so we tracked it in the camper. Otherwise the camp ground was great. I went a day without a vehicle and you can get to town by walking path behind the RV ground. Bicycle path and easy access to shopping. Nice town next to an amazing lakes!

Friendly staff, showers were great with lots of pressure. Bathrooms were clean and fairly close to where we were camped which was as far away as we could be. The WiFi was pretty poor is our only problem.

Great place to stay but very expensive in my opinion! $68 plus tax for the 2025 season. We stayed in mid-May and the weather was great! Lots of open spaces and the pull through spots were great. The bathrooms were super nice and clean, the showers were hot and great pressure.

The owner is rude and their way over priced. Not worth the money at all. Their park is not very comfortable or inviting either. And their bathrooms are disgusting. I will never come back.

We met my parents here, them from Oregon, us from Utah. This was our first RV campground ever in 6 years of camping. I can’t make comparisons because of that, but this campground was awesome! All the horror stories I hear of being in campgrounds didn’t happen here. It was as quiet as an RV park could be. The owners are awesome and Stacey hooked me up with a great place to fish. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days here. We only went into the bathrooms right before we left as we dumped the tanks, and we thought they looked very clean and well kept. The little general store was nice to grab ice and beer from and had essentials for trailer life. The location was great, plenty of mature trees for additional shade and the property well maintained. We would definitely come back and stay at the Black Bear RV Park. We would highly recommend this park as a great place to stay.

We got stuck in ice. We were checking out the park . There was no tow available. These people helped us when they did not have to. Friendly helpful when they did not have to. That is wonderful people service and that is better than customer service. Check them out

PROS: Close to downtown McCall, friendly and helpful summer temporary workcamper staff, clean laundry. CONS: Internet is mostly non-existent and no TV. Vastly different experience depending on site assigned. You don’t find out when you make a month reservation well in advance that you will be stuck up on a hill in a pile of rocks with no shade, no trees, no bushes, no vegetation except a few weeds. Our site had shade in the mornings (from the RV) and way too much sun in the hot afternoons. The gravel hasn’t been piled well on some slopes. I slipped and fell a couple of times in sliding rock. We finally decided to pay the daily higher rate to get off the rock pile and into some shade. We were first assigned a space where you shared a very small outdoor space with next site. Picnic tables were side by side. We each had 2 dogs in this small space which did not work at all. When another site came open, we again moved. In all the places I have ever stayed, I never had to move before. But here we stayed in 3 different spaces – wasting a lot more time moving and less time playing tourist in the beautiful McCall area. Unfortunately, there are not many choices for RV parks in McCall, and the good ones are already booked months in advance.
