Car-camped at Halfmoon Pond S.P. the night of 2025.10.09. The overnight temperature dropped below freezing 🥶 My fingers were freezing .. i had forgotten to pack along my gloves. And so i improvised, and use my socks as mittens 🤣 Got up just before dawn to catch dawn lighting, followed by ~8+ miles hike, CCW-Loop of Bomoseen S.P. The trail was in good condition, and seemed well-maintained. Some bird singings, and no other wildlife; lovely Fall colors, and scenic ponds and Glen Lake. It was a very enjoyable sweet solitude hike 👍👍👍

Site 21 was clean and spacious as were the other 4 in our group. Nice clean restrooms. I’m a kayaker not a beach goer but the beach was clean of goose poop when we visited. Decent place to launch my boat from. Looked like a fun child’s area.

Great little camping location-- staff was all super friendly and plenty of fun things to do out on the lake, which is gorgeous at sunset. On a clear night the stars are really incredible, and the surrounding area has plenty to do (berry picking, horse back riding, etc). The entire area is super pretty, and the drive up was picturesque.

My new favorite spot! Connected to a great beach area with concessions and rentals. Super safety plus: the campground gate to get in gets shut at night. You get a code to come in after hours once you check in. Our site was the best (keeping that a secret so it isn't always booked 😉) and the walking trail access was great. One stop shop for a great getaway!

Stayed for 2 nights. Pretty typical of a state park setup, lots of sites for it's size. Sites are pretty close together but have trees and shrubs between most. Also it's right by the lake and has its own boat launch and dock! Had a great time!

Nice state park with trails and a beach. Fyi, you can't take dogs on the beach.

Well maintained grounds, and very clean facilities as far as state parks go. Really nice day use area, and lots of trails nearby to make a day trip of hiking the nearby lake and ponds. Only complaint is that the staff didn't seem to enforce quiet hours as strictly as they do other places, so there were some louder groups left unchecked late at night causing a disturbance.

Went here to visit my mother and step father for forth of July weekend. We traveled 80 likes to do so and it is a beautiful place. Clean lots and bathrooms and showers and nice clear water for swimming or other water based activities. Staff are super nice. We will deff be back for a weekend. They also allow dogs and other pets
