Bonanza Camping Resort
Overview
Bonanza Camping Resort captures the essence of a classic family vacation in the heart of Wisconsin Dells. This established family resort has been a staple for RVers for decades, offering a blend of traditional camping and modern conveniences. The park is known for its wooded sites and friendly atmosphere, providing a comfortable home base that feels tucked away despite its proximity to the city's main attractions. It balances the excitement of the Dells with a relaxed, community-focused environment that welcomes travelers year after year.
Location & Surroundings
The location of the park is one of its strongest assets. Situated on Wisconsin Avenue, it puts guests within walking distance or a short drive of the world-famous Waterpark Capital of the World. While many resorts are located on the outskirts, Bonanza offers a centralized location that makes navigating the area's busy strip simple and efficient. Despite being near the action, the property is characterized by mature trees that provide shade and a sense of privacy from the surrounding hustle and bustle.
Amenities & Park Features
The resort is designed to keep families entertained without ever leaving the grounds. The centerpiece is the large heated swimming pool, complemented by a dedicated kiddie pool for younger travelers. To ensure a comfortable stay, the park offers several key features:
- A well-stocked camp store with essentials and souvenirs
- A game room and snack bar for easy entertainment
- Multiple sports courts for basketball and volleyball
Practical needs are met with full hookup sites and clean laundry facilities. During the peak season, the park often hosts community events like pancake breakfasts, adding to the nostalgic resort experience that RVers appreciate.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Staying here puts you at the doorstep of iconic Wisconsin Dells experiences. You are just minutes away from Noah's Ark Waterpark and the high-energy thrills of Mt. Olympus. For those who prefer nature to neon, the scenic Wisconsin River boat tours and the hiking trails at Devil’s Lake State Park are easily accessible. The downtown area offers unique shopping, local fudge shops, and diverse dining options, ensuring that there is something to do for every member of the family regardless of the weather.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an ideal match for families with children who want to be in the middle of the action while maintaining a traditional camping feel. It is perfect for those who value amenity-rich environments where kids can safely roam and play. RVers looking for a social atmosphere and a convenient location to the major waterparks will find this to be an excellent choice. It caters well to both weekend travelers and long-term summer visitors seeking a reliable and welcoming base in Wisconsin.

We had an awesome weekend away staying in a deluxe cabin at the resort. The pool was warm, the staff was friendly, the playground & jumping pillow were fun for our toddler, and mini golf was free! All the staff were so friendly & the store was nice to have. We rented a golf cart for 1 day and that was super convenient to have. The cabin we rented was pretty clean, maybe could use a mopping but it was clean. Have to bring your own sheets, blankets, & towels but not a huge deal. The only downfall was no extra bags in the cabin or even hand soap or a rug to catch the sand, would be better if we had all that.

We stayed in the cabins for a few nights and the experience was great! Right across from the park where the kids played every free chance we had. The entrance is right across from Mt. Olympus water park and easy access to anything in the area. The pool was warm and fellow campers really friendly. We will be back!!

We had a great time at Bonanza Camping Resort this past weekend! The staff was friendly and helpful. There’s a nice store with anything you might need, a heated outdoor pool, free 18hole minigolf, a great playground, and free showers! Our camping site was spacious and well maintained. The new owners are doing a great job! Can’t wait to come back!

We are currently staying here and I must say, the experience has been amazing! We called to book and requested a site with a bit more shade (we are camping with a person who has a hard time with sunlight ….i know, I know) and the staff positioned us near a quaint, quiet, secluded section of the park near the forest! Even with all the rain…. It has been beautiful! There is a really nice heated pool, More than adequate laundry facilities and the showers are amazing! Huge square waterfall shower heads with unlimited hot water…. For FREE!!! Most of the campgrounds I have seen have charged for showers! A GREAT playground with modern equipment as well Have seen beautiful deer every morning and the staff has been so helpful. Out door outlet went bad while we were camping…had it repaired within MINUTES!!!!!! Thank you for such an easy vacation. We are having a blast!!!!

We stayed in a rental camper from Monday evening until Friday morning. It was awesome! The unit was in excellent condition, close to all the amenities. We had no issues with noise, even with Mt Olympus being close by. Recommend 10/10 and will definitely stay again!

Rented trailers from here and the trailer we got the ac was not working an it was like 100 degrees outside so then we were going to still stay in the hot trailer if we could get a discounted price since the ac is not working an they said no because they can rent it out to someone for full price knowing the person paying all the money won't have working ac 😡 bogus. Last time we come here. People be careful when you rent here bc your ac probably won't work or the showers in your trailer won't work either.

Campsites are big. Been going here for 3 years now for atleast one weekend in the summer. Never had a bad experience here. Nice clean restrooms, nice park for the kids to play in, heated pool, big shower stalls with whatever temp water you want and it's close to other attractions which is accommodating to out family. Enjoy coming here and will be back for years to come.

This was a decent stay, however, the lack of sheets and blankets in our cabin would have been great knowing before hand. Me and my friends had to go to Walmart and improvise with cheap blankets and pillowcases. The pillows were not great, so I suggest bringing your own if you plan to use a cabin! Also, there is a roku on the TV, but no remote at all for the roku, so we were not even able to bring up Netflix and such.
