Magical Fall campground to use as a base to explore the Berkshires. Close to everything. Owner Dan is a treasure. Campground is different than the water-oriented sites we usually choose. Lots of cabins with guests that return yearly, sites are close together and area is heavily treed, so no Starlink. Yet the free park wifi was adequate for work and television. Property is like attending summer camp, nestled into a neighborhood, within walking distance of scenic walk at Pontoosuc Lake. We were visiting family during our 10 night trip, so we came and went. Felt safe at all hours. We are 32’ with a toad – internal roads are tight, requiring care with bigger rigs. Not used: Nice pool and plenty of child-friendly spaces, but in October, there were no children.

This is our second year at Bonnie Brae. Dan is an amazing host and has been super attentive both this year and last year. The setting is peaceful but close enough to town that we could check out a couple of breweries. Sites are clean & comfortable and we had a great time decorating for Halloween. We’ll definitely be back next year!!

We'll be staying there in July and wanted to check it out. Dan, the owner, was very gracious and allowed us to roam the area. The cabins are beautiful and the campground is small enough that family members scattered around the park won't have to go far.

This is our second year at Bonnie Brae, for a geocaching weekend of events, and we're looking forward to next year. The campers here are all very respectful to keeping their noise to a bare minimum. The showers and bathrooms are also kept clean by the management and other campers. This year the manager came to the rescue, when one of the pop-up tent stakes wouldn't release from the ground. With a thunderstorm approaching, he went for the needed tools and made quick work of that stake!

This is a lovely campsite in the Berkshires. It is very quiet and well maintained. The shower/restroom is area is being renovated but doesn’t interfere with showering. We had a great base for visiting nearby Stockbridge and the museum of Norman Rockwell. Just a short stroll down the street from the campsite is a lake bordered by quaint cottages.

We stayed at Bonnie Brae in October 2024. From the beginning of the reservation process, Dan was incredibly accommodating. He worked with us to come look at the sites ahead of time, and had great communication throughout the reservation process and throughout our stay. Accommodations were more than comfortable. The RVs were clean and comfortable and the outside areas were also well-kept. We are a group that has camped together for 20 years, and found Dan to be one of the most gracious hosts we have ever had. He was easily available to answer questions, open the store, and even help us when we blew a fuse. We enjoyed the campsite so much that we have already decided to come back next year!

We tried the campground as a new location for our annual Columbus weekend camping trip, and we were not disappointed. The trailers were clean and functional, the space outside was conducive to hanging out and having a good time with friends, and the public shower facilities yielded hot water with little to no wait. While the campground is small with a lot of campers present, it never felt cramped or tight, there was plenty of room for all. Our host Dan was gracious and accommodating. We will be eagerly planning our return for the next year!

Pros: Location. The location of the campground cannot be beat for visiting the Berkshires. It's close to conveniences like coffee, great restaurants on Lake Pontoosuc, and many local attractions and hikes. Cons: I can't say I've ever camped literally in someone's backyard before. You can see homes from multiple campsites. Sites are on top of one another. I got zero sleep two nights in a row because our neighbors argued and talked past ONE in the morning. I paid for an advertised water and electric site. The site had NO electric post. I had to walk to the site next door to charge our phones. Lots of high weeds around. No space for a campfire. The rates were abnormally expensive, too. Very disappointed. The photos of the place online are deceiving. I've camped in many, many different places. This was one of my least favorite and just all around kind of gave me the creeps. Long story short, you can still stay here while visiting the Berkshires, but it's not the type of place where you'll want to hang out at your site, build a camp fire, etc. Just use it as a place to sleep, then run out and sight see.

Nice campground. Quiet, reasonably priced. Dan and Jim are very accommodating and helpful. Clean facilities, washer and dryers, pool. They sell fire wood, ice and there is a little store that has random things you may need. Not much in the way of open spots if you are looking for strictly solar charging, but there is shore power availability at the sites. I got probably the most sunny tent spot for my van.

Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend with the family. We had multiple sites with kiddos and dogs. Had a great time. Jim was super friendly and helpful! Lovely little campground, family-friendly environment. Thanks for having us! Happy camping!
