Bouse RV Park

Overview

Bouse RV Park offers a quiet, community-oriented escape in the heart of the Arizona desert. This park is well-regarded for its spacious sites and friendly atmosphere, catering largely to those seeking a slower pace of life during the winter months. It provides a reliable and peaceful base for travelers who want to avoid the heavy crowds of larger resort towns while maintaining access to essential services and local charm. The park maintains a welcoming vibe that makes long-term stays feel like a home away from home.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in the historic town of Bouse, the park is surrounded by the vast, open stretches of the Sonoran Desert. The landscape is defined by rugged mountain views and low-lying desert brush, offering residents spectacular sunsets and exceptionally clear night skies for stargazing. Its strategic proximity to Highway 72 makes it an accessible stop for those traveling between Parker and Quartzsite, providing a central hub for regional exploration without the congestion of the neighboring cities.

Amenities & Park Features

The park focuses on practical comfort and utility, offering full hookups with both 30 and 50-amp electrical service at every site. Guests have access to various on-site facilities designed to make desert living comfortable and convenient:

  • Clean restrooms and private hot showers
  • A well-maintained laundry facility
  • Spacious gravel sites capable of hosting big rigs
  • A community clubhouse for social gatherings and activities

The wide interior roads are specifically designed to accommodate large motorhomes and fifth-wheels, ensuring a stress-free arrival and departure for all travelers.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the direct access to the Arizona Peace Trail, which is a premier destination for off-roading, UTV riding, and ATV exploration. History buffs can explore the nearby ruins of Camp Bouse, a secret WWII training site for the Canal Defence Light tanks. Additionally, the Colorado River and the Parker Strip are just a short drive away, offering endless opportunities for fishing, boating, and cooling off under the bright Arizona sun.

Who This Park Is Best For

This location is ideal for winter snowbirds looking for a budget-friendly, welcoming community to call home for the winter season. It is also a perfect match for OHV enthusiasts who value the ability to ride directly from their campsite onto hundreds of miles of scenic desert trails. If you prefer a rustic, authentic Arizona experience over a high-density luxury resort, Bouse RV Park provides the necessary quiet, space, and desert beauty for a relaxing stay.

never visited your rv park but it looks great.. i'm researching for a short story about a small town where everyone has a very similar dream. Wanted to find out how would you as a community feel about it?

Very pleasant RV campground. Has all the facilities, shower, dog park, full hook ups. Only stayed 2 nights. Restaurant close and a small market within walking distance. Was in A13, perfect fit with trailer still attached!

Access to miles of trails right from the Bouse RV Park. Slot canyons, mines and beautiful cactus's right out your doorstep. The RV park is clean and the other guests are so welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend this park for a quick overnighter or seasonal stay.

We visited here as Harvest Host members but opted to pay for full services for the night. We called ahead, as instructed, and were met at the gate and escorted to our campsite. The host and hostess that we met were very nice and answered all our questions. We had a spacious site with room for our RV and our towed. We walked across the street for the fish fry which was very delicious per a recommendation from the hostess.

Great Park! Everything about this park was perfect! It's not Glamourous it's not Pretentious it's just friendly and comfortable. We were very impressed with the great customer service and the comfortable sites. We had a nice pull through that accommodated our extra long RV and Trailer. The patrons at the park were as nice as the owners and management, not a grumpy Gus anywhere! There are trails going off in every direction and the Park Owners led a group of us out for the day and then gave us lots of direction for places to go on our own. They had a nice clubhouse with a Big Screen, we caught the game on Sunday evening and then played pool until way to late! It was just a lot more fun than we thought Bouse Arizona could be! We loved everything ... We will be Back Soon!

Love this place and the people! The owners, Mike and Robin, and staff, are so nice and helpful! There is Bingo every Monday, except holidays, and campfires on Saturdays, Robin ha hosted a monthly wine and paint class along with a beading group. There is also the desert to explore so don’t forget your off road vehicle! Best RV Park we have ever.stayed in! We were only going to stay for a month and ended up staying for 2! Why only 4 stars? The internet is not great. It is good enough to check you email though. Plan on bringing a hot spot. T-Mobile and AT&T work well, Verizon is spotty in this town. We will be back next year!

Very unwelcoming. I wanted to spend the night in a tent, they said they had no tent sites available. No problem, I don't mind paying extra money for an RV site with electricity, and just placing my tent there. All I need is a flat place to put my tent. Then they say, we don't allow tents at all, it's against our insurance policy. What? Under no circumstances is a tent more dangerous than an RV. A tent is the least impactful and least dangerous way for a visitor to stay there. I challenge the owner to provide a copy of this policy showing that tents aren't allowed. Then they say, if we were to allow tents, we would have to have showers. They already provide showers for the rv customers, and that's the main reason I wanted to stay here. Another poor excuse. I was ready to stay in town and spend some money here in this community, but instead, I had to leave and take my business elsewhere. The bottom line is, places like this are meant for retirees who are deathly afraid of any Outsider infringing upon their closed-minded community. But, that's the town of Bouse for you in a nutshell. It's a sad and depressing place, and this rv park is the epitome of the towns' mindset. Do yourself a favor and pass through this town, as quickly as possible. Unless the above appeals to you, then you're in the right place.
