Finally writing a review (apologies…) from this past March/2025. The whole experience was fantastic… the facilities, the people running/managing it,… all great (aside from the 2+ day windy frog-strangler on the front end of my stay…lol)! The local food truck was awesome - ate breakfast there two or three times… walked over to the marina area a few times as well… Hogfish Grill - I highly recommend! Not sure when I will get down that way again, but would love to stay here again in the future… Thank you!

I recently stayed at this campground near Key West, in a tent with my van. It is a beautiful campground with amenitites not typically available at most campgrounds (I usually stay at state-run campgrounds but the closest one, called "Bahia Honda", is 45 minutes away). Here is the skinny: Pros: * Beautiful campground on the waterfront (see photos) * Swimming Pool, Laundryroom, Food Truck * Tiki areas with tables, and games * More affordable than a hotel * They gave me a waterfront tent site as it was the off season * Friendly staff Cons: * At $100/night with tax, this is the most expensive campground I have ever stayed at, but still less than a hotel * The tent sites are very small and there is no privacy. I was barely able to fit my tent and van in the plot * The roosters WILL wake you up early every day (I think they start at around 7:30am) * Night 1: Although this is not the fault of the camp, it should be noted that there were many thunderstorms in the summer, and a tent is not a safe place to sleep when there is lightning. I ended up sleeping in my van. * Night 2: There was an extremely loud party (maybe 20+ people) going until after midnight, swearing, children screaming, drinking, loud music. This happened in three adjacent fifth wheel rental sites across the path from my tent. The noise continued even after one of my neighbors complained. Then they started shouting "The Neighbors are Bitching!" and continued the party. I had to drink myself to sleep and continued my stay in a nearby airbnb. Recommendations: There is a special phone number for security that I did not notice. When I called the main line to complain, it rang with no recording or voicemail. One of my neighbors complained to security, but it did not do any good. I had the unbelievable fortune of finding an airbnb room with a balcony on Duval street for the same price as the tent plot for the remainder of my stay, as this was August and the off season. It may pay to check airbnb before renting a tent site here in the summer months. Recommendations for management: Have security do a sweep of the park at 11pm, which is misleadingly published as the time that quiet hours are strictly enforced. If the noise continues, issue a second warning in 15 minutes, and if the noise continues after that, evict the party or call the police. Besides myself, three other nearby tent campers were greatly affected. A hotel room in season that costs $400 may only cost $150 off season. But the variance of tent sites in only $10 or $20. Maybe lower the rates for tent sites in the summer months. It looked like you only had 5% or so occupancy of the tent sites. Thanks!

Best camp ground ever. Checked in late and the lady was amazing and recommended some good places. The evening staff are just as amazing and sweet. Not a lot of tent campers which was nice and the spots on the water is a great view. If going when it rains just prepare that a lot of tent sites can flood. Definitely recommend even if you’re not tent camping.

I camped in one of their new RVs for 3 nights. Very clean amenities. I looked at the bath houses, which there are several, and all were incredibly clean, spacious, private to an extent, and maintained daily. The pool area was quaint, yet big enough to spread out and have a picnic while watching tv in the tiki area. Found a nice little garden area with a fountain to sit and ponder life. There's good music on throughout the common areas. The laundry area was clean, stocked with plenty of machines . There's a small fish house to clean your catch located next to a boat ramp inside the park. The gift shop had just about anything you may need. I didn't get to spend as much time using their facilities as I would've liked but, I did ride around on my bike and all the sites are well maintained with gravel, concrete pads and a picnic table at each site. Check in and checkout was wonderful. Everyone is incredibly friendly. I did have an issue with my unit being not cleaned when I arrived but the staff took care of it and I was very happy. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend Boyd's Key West Campground to anyone staying in the Keys.

Wonderful experience! Cost about $100 for a one car spot (with enough room for a tent) for a one night stay. I got the cheapest spot (not advertised as waterfront) but all I had to do to see the water was look ahead! Shower & amenities are clean. Didn't have enough time to check out the pool. Very kind and helpful people working here. About a 20-30 min leisurely bike ride to wherever you want on Key West. Various options of campsites including tiny homes, RV spots, trailer spots, boat slips. There's even a food truck for breakfast on the property.

We absolutely loved our stay! The view from our campsite was stunning—such a peaceful and beautiful spot. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Our kids had an amazing time at the pool—Key West was definitely a highlight for us! We can't wait to come back!

It was peak season (mid March) so the camp was close to full. The tent sites where we parked our class B van were small and packed together. The power and water outlet for our site was back on another adjacent site which made it hard to connect up. The location is convenient and easy to ride a bike, ebike or golf cart to the key west action locations. The staff were friendly and the wash houses were OK for a such a busy season. Didn’t have to wait to use the facilities and there were plenty of them. Quite noisy at times with the airport departure being right above the camp with certain wind direction. Military jets passed by over the water one morning and were quite loud. Other campers were quiet after the appropriate hours. Security was highly visible. Took a Lyft downtown for approx $15 plus tip.

By far the BEST campground in the Florida keys! So clean, super friendly staff and so close to Key West! Located on stock island near multiple restaurants already, you can ride your bike an easy 5 miles into key west and enjoy everything it has to offer. Lovely pool and common areas. Can’t wait to come back!

Boyd’s Key West Campground is absolutely amazing! As avid campers, my dog Dude, my girlfriend Nicole, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This dog-friendly campground is a gem! The staff is incredibly friendly and hardworking, keeping the entire place looking fantastic. It’s perfectly located—close to everything Key West has to offer—without the hefty price tag of the local hotels. Staying here is a budget-friendly way to enjoy Key West without sacrificing quality. We loved the peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful waterfront views, and how welcoming the campground is for dogs. Dude had such a great time, and we can’t wait to come back! If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Key West, especially if you’re traveling with a pup, this is it.

This place was awesome to stay at, no wonder it books out a year in advance. It was a cool campground, lots of trees giving it ambience versus the wide open RV parks you’re used to seeing. I wish I could have stayed longer, all booked up tho, but it was fun meeting a lot of good folks, playing bean bags with the regulars, having a waterfront site plus a fire ring too! Small beach and also small marina was easy to walk to and launch a kayak or paddle board. They had good WiFi too, didn’t really need to use my Verizon jet pack, so that was cool being able to work productively. Good amenities, lots of daily activities, bags, poker, these are some active and fun campers here. Great meeting Sheri, Nan, Lyons, Melody, Mickey, and so many others. Definitely worth the price, it’s at the fencing of key west, so a 5 mile bike to Mallory Square, but we’ll worth every penny!
