DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE BECAUSE IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO THE POINT YOU NEED TO CANCEL YOU'LL LOSE ALL OF YOUR MONEY PAYING FOR FOR A NIGHT STAY PLUS MORE.....NOT WORTH MAKING RESERVATIONS AHEAD OF TIME GOTTA DO IT LAST MINUTE OR THE DAY OF SO YOU WON'T LOSE MONEY. .. JUST SAYING BY EXPERIENCE But the campsites and camping experience is quite pleasant, family friendly, and enjoyable!!!

The campground location is the best view of lake, there is limited bike trails and fishing pier as compared to texana Park on other side of street. I personally prefer texana Park but kids like this Park.

Amazing family friendly camp grounds. We camp on the Lake Texana side. Spring /fall is the best time to go. The Breeze off the lake is wonderful. Catch a sunrise, or a moonrise over the lake. Beautiful! There are trails to hike, events, and you can kayak or fish on the lake (bring your own gear, license required). Deer are spotted in the evening or early morning as well. RV or tent camping. They do have full hook up circles as well. We visit this place at least 2 times a year. Love it!

We took a few days to relax here with our RV. Did a little fishing and trail walks. The shower, restroom, and laundry areas are very well maintained and clean. It was nice to see this. We saw a variety of wildlife. Upon entering a herd of 7 deer lounging at the entrance sign. On our walks we saw another group of deer, a great heron, red bird pairs, a red-headed woodpecker, a 2-3' alligator relaxing on the water lilies, and numerous squirrels. Several times we saw security make the rounds too. We had a great time and will return.

Really big park with a lot to do. There are miles of walking and biking trails, a fishing pier, a playground, three bath houses (two of them have laundry), and a camp store. We stayed in a pull through site. The pavement isn't great, and the roads are the same as the site pavement, which makes it difficult to figure out where you are supposed to drive. We arrived after the office closed, so we grabbed our packet from the basket out front. There were no directions to our site. It was a good thing that many sites were empty because I had to go through one the wrong way in order to get to ours. We spent 5 nights here on two visits in a week long trip and will definitely consider it in the future. Another thing to consider is signal. Our Verizon and AT&T signal wasn't great, and the park wifi wasn't fast enough for good streaming. We keep DVDs in the coach, so it wasn't a big deal for us.

What a gem! Brackenridge is surprisingly equipped to be a resort rather than your run of the mill state park RV site. There are many recreation activities to do here. Nature walks, fishing, volleyball, basketball, softball, boating, wildlife observing, and several playgrounds. It has something for everyone. There is a small general store at the front office. The bathrooms were clean. The grounds were clean. There is on duty security that patrols during the day and night. There is an abundance of wildlife from deer, birds, armadillos, and squirrels. Plenty of beautiful trees, perfect for climbing. I would absolutely visit this park again. I enjoyed our time.

Love this park! I enjoy Kayaking and fishing on lake Texana as well as riding the trails around both parks. The facilities are very clean as well.

Nice and quiet. Not too far from home. Very spread out. Lots of waterfront. Bring your bike(s).

One of the best places to stay in Texas. I only say “one of” the best because I have not stayed at every park in Texas. This place is perfect. Location, price, amenities, and surroundings are all perfect. The bathrooms are even air conditioned. Staff is exceptional. Park features are plenty. You will not be disappointed with a stay here. We have done weekends and week long vacations. Never a single disappointment. Deer and other wildlife are plenty, have not seen any of the wildlife you don’t want to see but it is country and lake surroundings so I am sure they are around.

Had a Valentines picnic here and it was quiet and serene. Can't wait to come back with the pups!
