POOR MAINTENANCE! Showers filthy! Freezing cold outside and the doors broken and stays wide open. Another facility missing window from the door and it was 10 degrees outside. Looks like it has been that way for years! What happened to the maintenance staff? This place has gotten worse every year! Who oversees this area?? They should be ashamed and embarrassed!!

Overall, the campground was nice and clean. However, we ran into issues with the park ranger. We had rented two shelter sites, which were advertised as accommodating six people per shelter. In reality, each shelter only had four beds. To make up for the lack of beds, we pitched tents outside the shelters. The ranger stopped by and told us we were not allowed to set up tents outside. We explained the situation with the missing beds, and we also pointed out that there were no rules either in the printed copies we were given or online stating that tents were prohibited outside of shelters. The ranger could not find this rule either but insisted it existed. They did not offer any accommodation. Instead, they told us that if we wanted to use tents, we would have to pay for and reserve separate tent sites; otherwise, the tents would need to be removed. As a result, some of us had to sleep in hammocks or out in the open. We wish this rule had been clearly stated in advance so that we could have prepared better or chosen a different campground.

Comes up on computer as Brendon T Byrne State Forest I walked in the Wharton Bass river part White trail that heads over to the river! Lots of bugs so I recommend mosquito netting for your face Bit well marked trails going to take Batona next

I visit here mainly for the walking trails which are well maintained and clearly marked. They’re mostly flat and not very challenging but if you’re just looking for a peaceful walk like me, they’re perfect. The campgrounds are among the best in the state. Cabins are also available. Each cabin comes with fire ring and inside, a toilet sink and bed. Prices are reasonable. It can be difficult to secure cabins and campsites. The whole park is clean and easy to navigate

Nice campground! It was our first time here 5/25 and we will come again. Nice hiking trails but the maps aren’t too clear from the campground. Bathrooms were clean. Campsite was nice and big. We got one near the bathroom because they are few and far between.

First time here with our Boy Scout Troop. I thought this was a great campsite of great amenities. Some of our neighbors were a little loud throughout the night and riding ATVs at 1:00 in the morning, but all in all it was a very nice and relaxing trip. We will be back.

Been coming here the past few months with my little girl. We mostly drive around, stop for a quick stroll, and keep going. Love this place. It’s quite close and clean.

Avoid this terrible camp site! We booked a site for a tent looking forward to a relaxing time, when we got the there was a huge gathering next site over literally half way into our site. As we pulled in they started slowly moving their things. Rules state 6 people max per lot and 2 cars per lot. Literally +25 loud people and too many cars. I immediately went and complained about it and they said they already went out there earlier because someone else complained and that they don’t refund. That we have to deal with it and we can call the police. 😡 We left because we just wanted to camp but last thing we wanted to do is deal with a major issue and start drama. Now our plans are canceled and we are out the money we paid. We never even setup our tent.

What a great place for a hike! I was in South Jersey for a business appointment and decided to check this place out afterwards. So glad I did. The hiking was very peaceful. Well marked trails. So quiet! For a Saturday afternoon I was shocked by how empty it was. I saw two other people the whole time I was in the woods. If you're ever in the area definitely make a stop.
