Buddy's RV Park

Overview

Buddy's RV Park provides a quiet and exceptionally well-maintained home base for travelers visiting the scenic Salmon River valley. It serves as a reliable jumping-off point for exploring the rugged beauty of Central Idaho while ensuring guests have a comfortable place to return to at the end of the day after their mountain adventures.

Location & Surroundings

Located on the outskirts of Salmon, ID, the park is surrounded by stunning mountain vistas and sits just a short distance from the banks of the Salmon River. The setting is ideal for those who want to enjoy the rural charm of Idaho without sacrificing convenience. You are close enough to downtown Salmon to enjoy local eateries and shops, yet far enough away to appreciate the starry night skies and the natural tranquility of the historic Lemhi Valley.

Amenities & Park Features

The park focuses on providing high-quality essentials for the modern RVer. Each site features full hookups with 30 and 50 amp service, ensuring your rig stays fully powered throughout your stay. The sites are designed with level gravel pads and include manicured grassy areas that add a touch of green to your campsite. Travelers frequently appreciate the reliable Wi-Fi access, which is robust enough for planning the next leg of a trip or staying connected while in this remote region.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor recreation is the primary draw in this area, with the Main Salmon River offering world-class whitewater rafting and fly fishing for steelhead and trout. Just minutes away, visitors can explore the Sacajawea Interpretive, Cultural & Educational Center to learn about the area's rich history and the Corps of Discovery. For those seeking rugged adventure, the nearby wilderness areas provide endless opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and exploring one of the most pristine landscapes in the United States.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an ideal choice for couples and retirees who value peace, quiet, and cleanliness over resort-style amenities like pools or playgrounds. Just had lunch there. Managing host Kathy made sure I wasn't overlooked while I occupied a seat at the trucker/traveller's counter. At another person's suggestion, I ordered the patty melt which came w scrumptious french fries (crispy & hardly oily.). The 2nd Side my sandwich came with was House recipe Tomato-Basil Soup. After the mini bowl ( 7 ounces?) was placed within reach & I drew some to my "boca" ...I immediately liked...& Would recommend it. The basil flavor - to my tastes - outshined the tomato, but not in an obnoxious way. Soup was a perfect serving temperature. My Patty Melt was nice - a tad richer than "exquisite" .. the sliced onions had a nice searing effect. The tomato-based Dipping Sauce was a Hit to me & enhanced overall Patty Melt flavors. I will likely come back as I feel the Service was good quality & the food price ensured a nice consumer value...at $20, approximately.

Little diner with a surprisingly delicious menu. Loved the fries, and the salmon was soft and moist! The staff was young, but they were courteous, attentive, and working their butts off. Who'd have thought that you'd find all that at a gas station!

This is the best food I've ever eaten at a gas station in my life. I went in with low expectations, but we were blown away by the quality of the food. The patty melt might have been the best patty melt I've ever had. My kids loved and ate everything in front of them. Easily the best place to eat in Salmon.

Local breakfast hotspot!! French Toast is yummmmmy. Coffee bar = ❤️🤘 Side note, I ate their Western Burger for lunch, it was insane how good it was. Angus beef!?!? Wow. A “must-have” in Salmon.

We ate here last weekend and again today. We absolutely loved the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the people around us. We would drive all the way from Nampa on a weekend just to eat breakfast:-) I highly recommend is Cafe if you're going to be in salmon for a weekend
