The campground patrons are nice but the staff isn’t, I paid in full for a month 744 dollars and had a lady come beat on my door and accuse me of staying without paying. I work 10-14 hours a day and luckily got a day off and she came to do this and didn’t apologize just asked if I’d like to renew the stay and continue to be there. I had 6 days left on my stay and decided to leave after this and was told I would get nothing back as they need 72 hours before leaving the park. Really disappointed with the treatment from the staff with the other people were so very nice and I had a lot of help from other campers and even fish and food but the staff was overall terrible. Wouldn’t recommend for the overcharge as well as the treatment. Also if you do stay check the parking lot it was full of screws and other sharp objects my camp site led to a flat tire

"This nice park around a lake in a small, cozy town in Iowa is a gem. It's perfect for kids with lots of space to run around and play. The place is super clean and well-maintained, making it a lovely spot for families. The serene lake adds to the charm, providing a peaceful backdrop for picnics or just relaxing. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this park is a wonderful place to enjoy some quality time outdoors."

The beach, mini golf, and volleyball court was nice. Most of the spots are very small. Campers are very close together. Some of the information on the website is incorrect. Online we booked a pull through site. When we arrived they told us it was not a pull through. We barely fit in the spot. The bathrooms are old and hard to lock. My girls pinched their fingers multiple times trying to unlock the doors. The showers don't stay on, no place to put hygiene items, the floor is very gross, and the water was not very warm.

We stayed here a couple of times back in 2021. Once over Labor Day weekend & then later at the beginning of October. Of course, when we stayed over Labor Day, it was busy & packed. We were lucky enough to get a spot, but it wasn't the best spot. It was on the very end with not a lot of room. Our next spot we got in October was on a cement pad with plenty of space. Overall, it's a very nice campground and it's our number one choice when visiting family in the area.

We met Nancy and everyone was so nice there… It is a beautiful place… The lake is wonderful and it is just a short walk to town along the beautiful Lake shore.

The campground has too many sites, very crowded, not sure I've ever been in a more crossed campground. There are a lot of local people that spend the summer there, especially the sites on the lake. We were mech to the lake front spotted on the north and the lady in A2 confronted us on day 1 and was setting the rules down. We thought she was the camp host but after complaining to the front desk found out she does that to everyone and they have a lot of trouble with her. The lady at the front desk was very nice and let us move to a full hookups site and did everything she could go make up for the girl in A2. She said she's been there 2 years and is a handful. To bad the city doesn't put a limit on how long a person can be in one spot before they have to move giving other people a chance to enjoy the prime spots. The mini golf is a lot of fun and the bakery uptown is a short walk away. The city park is across the street and is nice with a splash pad and a lot for the kids to play on.There was a concert on the lake that was nice too. Hopefully the city will deal with the unhappy camper so she doesn't spoil other people's days off like she has so many already.

This camp is huge! It has a lot of room for a lot of RVs. There's a nice mini golf course and a quality maintained beach. They have free to borrow lifejackets for boaters or kids who are still learning to swim. The beach has a gentle slope into the water so there's a great area for younger kids. Very fun place where I'd love to spend a while longer.

This place is great. Grass sites are the best, near beach, playground, volleyball, and mini golf. City park very close and very big with splash pad, basketball, and large playground with hamster wheel! Nice beach with actual sand, not rocks!

Fishing dock was nice and relaxing. If you want to fish and catch fish, try a different lake.
